my boyfriend and i were visiting Vermont from Massachusetts and decided to eat here before we headed home. The chicken ceasar salad was the star of the show. genuinely the absolute best salad ive ever had in my entire life and now im upset i even had it because now forever all other ceasar salads are going to suck. im writing this review soley to tell you how good that salad was. the croutons were garlicy and the salad itself had a hint of lemon. it was amazingly seasoned and the choice of greens was perfect. I want it right now honestly. I also got the stuffed mushrooms which were good, i just had to add some salt. the bed of arugula and parmesan they sat on added a nice fresh bite. my boyfriend got the philly cheese steak sub with sweet potato fries. the fries were a perfect crispiness, and the filling of the sub was perfectly seasoned. his only complaint was that the sub itself was a little too wide, which made it a bit tough to eat. he recommends that they cut the bread the other way lol. other than that, everything was amazing, and again i cannot stress enough how amazing that dang salad was. i might make the 3.5 hour drive back someday just for it. also the bartender was lovely and she was very attentive.

November 2022 Update - Jr's Original Peking Duck is back to being an Italian restaurant, so what follows is not relevant any longer :( First things first... you might have guessed by the restaurant's name, this is no longer an Italian restaurant! Make sure you're looking at the right reviews and menus when doing your research. We were saddened to hear of Silver Palace's closing but delighted to hear the two chefs from Silver Palace were going to be serving up the delicious food we'd become accustomed to at this new location, Jr's Original Peking Duck House. We started with a couple of cocktails (Sparkling Blossom and Tokyo Fashion) to accompany our appetizers - Popcorn Shrimp and Szechuan Dim Sum. Both were delicious and we did a very poor job of pacing ourselves. We chose the Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Sesame Shrimp for our entrees and were delighted by the aroma and taste of the food. The servings were large and we have plenty left for another meal. Our server (I didn't get his name... sorry!!) was fantastic. He was attentive and made an already great dining experience that much better. Definitely going back!

I went in and ordered food for my family this afternoon due to papa franks being closed. I haven’t eaten here since they moved from behind Burger King. When I walked in the place was empty,Bella took my order and was kind and polite with a warm smile. I ordered a white pizza with chicken and broccoli, 2 side orders of meatballs and a spaghetti meatball dinner. The pizza has 0 flavor and the Alfredo sauce is overloaded but bland with no seasonings at all. The meatballs are a taste I can’t describe and fall right apart when we tried to cut them up, were also very bland. The spaghetti was very hard and despite running it under hot water and reheating it. The sauce is thin like water. Th best thing out of the $90 I spent was the soft plain bread and the drink I had at the bar while waiting for this disaster 😭 I am very disappointed and this food is being thrown away because no one will eat it.

I was definitely not happy at all with the service I received the other night ordering take out. I would of definitely took them for the type of restaurant to make their customers happy no questions asked, but apparently not. It sucks to say because I’ve always loved the food and have actually had some very close ties to the restaurant over the years. My pasta dish was not what I asked for which was disappointing. When I called back I was told the the person who took my order had left so there was nothing he could do. I was told they could take my name and maybe get me half off next time, but did not sound convincing what so ever. I asked for another dish but was told the kitchen was now closed. This was at 8pm I thought they were open later but maybe it changed idk. Being as it may would it have been so hard to even throw a piece of chicken on the grill real quick to make a customer happy? Anyways I chose to take it back in for a refund as it was not what I had asked for or wanted to pay for and still was interrupted and spoken to rudely by the person I spoke to on the phone during the return. Clearly my business there is not needed unfortunately, but is what...

A fortunate find. I stay nearby for business occasionally and hadn’t noticed this place next to the noodle house that I have enjoyed a few times.

I got a salad (spinach salad) to have a healthy side and it was completely delicious. It takes a lot to get me to get excited about salad. For an entré I ordered the fresh pasta of the day with Bolognese and as soon as I saw it I knew I wasn’t at olive garden. Basic flat noodles and I can’t remember their name, but the dish was fantastic, seriously rivaling some of the best Italian I’ve ever had. Even dredging the Bolognese up with the crusty bread would have been enough to make my evening.

If this place stays on its game like this they should do very well. Pizza is part of their menu and perhaps I’ll have to try it on next visit. If they can do a pasta & sauce dish that I felt was uncommon quality and with beyond rich and heavenly flavors, surely the pizza could be great here too?

I rely on Google reviews and ratings and such all the time when traveling, but I rarely bother to post a review. I enjoyed the quality and flavors here so much I decided I had to take a few...
