Cook Out — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

Before I begin this review I want to apologize for what I’m about to say. If it comes off discourteous or impolite it needs to be said. I want to begin by saying I’m a local business chef business owner locally and I never eat at cookout or any other fast food place for that matter. I had company and they wanted a 5 piece nugget, large fry and sweet tea. After a 10-15 min I was served. No sauce in the bag and the fries were old. I only I’ve within a 5 mile radius so then be limp and warm had nothing to do with the drive. Despite all of that information, That is not the reason I’m writing the review. I’m writing a review about the young gentlemen that was working the window at 1:41a.m. nearest the laundry house. The name on the ticket says Arisha however she is not involved. My order came to 5.42 and I gave him 6.02 He verbally gave me my total and never said anything about my change. He looked at me as if I was to say something he would give it to me so I’ll give him That much. Anyway I drive off and let him keep the .60 because he needed it more than I do. The one thing that continues to boggle my mind is did he do it in purpose? Can he count? Either way is terrible. Bad service, Below average food in the black community is common. Until we stop patronizing these businesses the disrespect and mediocrity will continue. If that’s young man is that hard up for .60 I’ll give him a job. Its situations such as that in our communities that lead to non desirable situations if encountered by the wrong individual. I’ll continue to uplift my people and hope for the best however this situation...

Terrible customer service. As I was finishing my order Junia asked if I wanted anything else, I corrected my order (she repeated one of my orders incorrectly) then asks if that's all and before I could reply she quickly tells me my total and tells me to pull up to the window. Mind you, there was probably only 3 cars including mine in the drive thru and no window orders because it was raining. Then when I get my food, I ask for ketchup, buffalo and honey mustard (I had two meal orders) rudely she replied they didnt have any and closes the window. I was able to ask for bbq right before she fully closed the window though. But rude rude rude. I was not rude in any way to start with either so it wasn't due to me. Not to forget, she continue to chatter with the other coworkers while handing me the items and seemed like that's all they wanted to do. In the end my order was still wrong, I'm can't go back to fix it because I have to go to work but they were rude, distracted and didn't seem to care. I understand if it was busy and my order was incorrect but it was dead there. Get a new job if you can't pay attention to customer orders on...

This visit we were utilizing the walk up window , it took forever for them to take our order (on there behalf it looked like there was only 3 people working ) but I had to repeat my order 3 times , AT THE WINDOW FACE TO FACE , Seemed like forever for them to complete the order. When the guy brought our milk shakes to the window I told him he was going to have to wipe them off , he had more ice cream on the outside of the cup than he had in it , we got our order and walked back to the car , I didn't have a straw , back to the window to get a straw , got back to the car and my sweet yea turned out to be diet soda. Back to the window to get a sweet tea, gift back to the car and drove off , going down the road fou d out the wife got chicken nuggets instead of hush puppies , and got slaw on her BBQ -shes alleriguc to something in Cole slaw so I ordered it without Cole slaw, oh did I mention I repeated the order 3 times face to face at the window , all in all that was a terrible visit - went be back to THAT Cook out , normally it's a 5 star visit, always looks clean , service is friendly and fast , and food is...
