I have been a regular of this location since back when Goozman was the sushi chef which dates back to 2012 or longer. Today I took my mom there for her birthday dinner and the past few times we have been have not had the best experience as far as service from the waitress but the food is good so due to that we haven’t tipped. Today we didn’t tip either because it’s constantly having to ask for something we ordered to begin with because we didn’t get it, never getting refills unless we asked, there was flies everywhere today, the waitresses always seems to have a attitude, etc! I by mistake forgot to sign the check and my mom was waiting on me to go get the car being she was disabled. I guess the manager thought she could harass and bully my mom so she came outside and not only asked her to sign the check which was fine but said you never tip when you come and my mom explained why as the reasons I stated above. Well I went back inside and asked what the problem was and the manager who was very rude and thought she was going to speak to me like I was beneath her cause I didn’t tip irritated me even more with that poor attitude. I informed her I worked as a waitress in school so I know the drill but it’s one not required it’s if you do your job and deserve it by the customers view and that I haven’t felt that her staff has deserved it. She tried to ask how long I’d been a customer there and I politely explained to her since way before she was there and when things used to be way better as far as service and that I would always leave a very good tip and that I go plenty of places and tip. She was practically trying to harass a tip out of us due to her feeling bad for her wait staff well if you feel that bad then train them better and maybe they would get tips. As a waitress you never just sit the food down and walk off before anyone can say it’s right or not or if they need anything else. You should ask if everything looks good and is there anything else needed and then go around often asking if they need drink refills and when it looks like they are all but done then ask if they would like anything else, a dessert, or just the check! Do this and you would get a tip ! It’s not that hard but to have the audacity to try and bully people over it is completely disgusting and wrong. I will NEVER set foot back in this location and I made it very clear. They have other locations and plenty of other good quality Japanese restaurants in the area that will gladly accept my business and will be tipped cause they do their job !!! Stay far from here because they feel you’re obligated to tip no matter if service is...
Read moreThey give you way less meat for the main entree even though they have raised the prices for the main entrees. Multiply times I have felt hungry after ordering and finishing the main entree. The sauce container has gotten smaller. Never sure if the rice will have the texture of a rice ball from being over-cooked or if cooked well. Waitresses are nice and friendly. Sometimes the waitresses can be understaffed due to the high number of influx of people in the restaurant. If there is a big group of people, someone must pay about an 18% tip that is placed on one whole bill. The amount of the tip should depend on how the waitress serviced the customers. There probably have been large groups who have not placed a “good amount of a tip” for the waitress but requiring an 18% is way too much. In my opinion I can see for a 10% or 15% required tip but not 18%. Maybe if the waitresses would paid higher wages maybe the tip rate wouldn’t be so high. More likely the last time I’m coming with a large party of people to this restaurant. I would not recommend to friends I know who would want to hold a large gathering. For the small amount meat you get in an main entree I probably...
Read moreI ordered Teriyaki Chicken with fried rice and the rice smelled and tasted as if it was cooked days ago. I took the food to restaurant and asked a young lady named Wendy to please find me the manager or supervisor so that I can explain the inaceptable situation where I placed an order on Uber eat from my home because I was doing something and couldn’t leave the house and all the setting I have to drive there to take back the food because of the nasty smell. The lady (Wendy) tells me that there is not supervisor or manager in site and I explain the situation to her and without even let me finish she insisted with a firm and disrespectful tone that the food was good. I again tried to ask her please to smell it but she continued interrupting me to say the food was good. It’s unfortunate that as a customer you order food somewhere she the food is nasty, old and/or not eatable, but more unfortunate is to drive 20 minutes to get there and find this type of employees that instead of checking what’s the issue try to be aggressive and disrespectful. First time I ordered from there, it was the last time....
