Mario's Pizza — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

I recently visited the Mario's on Hanes Mall Blvd with my family. We were out in that direction because of a doctor's appointment. However I live closer to Shattalon and University so the drive is not a ride we do often but when we do we make it appoint to eat at Mario's Pizza. I have NEVER GONE THERE and had any problems until TODAY, my family and I eat here at least once out of the month. In the past we have done huge family functions at this location. On my visit before today I spent $106.98 on the visit before that I spent $96.56. But on today 3/25/22 I spent $75.22 I paid $40.00 in cash and the remaining balance of $35.22 onto my credit card. We took our food Togo today because we had other errands to run. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed on the receipt I was charged for some Jalepeno popers $7.35 so naturally I called back to express my concern for the charge thinking it was gonna go one of three ways 1 refund my card---no problem 2 give some kind of credit for my next visit(that would have been nice) 3HAVE A UNNECESSARY ISSUE And #3 was the pick. I was told that the manager was to busy and that I needed to return all the food in order to get a refund. I expressed that I didn't live close by and it would be a complete inconvenience to drive back with these popers and not to mention we had already eaten some of the pizza. I was told that it was nothing that could be done about this. TALK ABOUT UNPROFESSIONAL. And the gentleman who answered the phone was completely clueless on how to handle the matter but very sweet and extremely apologetic, he put me on hold and told his boss(Angel) to come to the phone and apparently Angel was to busy, could have said take her name and number but did not. I will be looking to speak to...

The pizza overall is okay, but the few time iv order I have asked them to double cook it and they never do or it comes out exactly the same. especially with their larger pizzas. Seems like they barley leave it in the oven. The last two times I have ordered I have had to stick the pizza in my own oven to cook it longer before i can enjoy it. The last time I order they were closed and although I think its weird a Pizza place closes at 9 on a Thursday but not that big of a deal, but when they answered the employees were extremely rude. Not a hello this is Mario's Pizza I'm sorry but we are closed, they picked up the phone and shouted WE ARE CLOSED!, I said excuse me, Even louder WE'RE Closed and practically hangs up the phone (call was placed about 15 mins before 9pm). Poor service, bad attitudes and pizza that isn't cooked properly. No longer a customer of Mario's after this last call. I can deal with cooking the pizza to my liking but I will not put up with employees that yell at customers...

We ordered 2 steak and cheese subs with all the trimmings along with spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread. When we got home the subs were as plain as Jane. No extras as requested only the meat!! The spaghetti was absolutely atrocious with no taste at all. Chef Boyardee would have tasted better. I have done a lot of Google Reviews and I am very fair in my opinions. I paid OVER $30.00 FOR MY PART OF THE ORDER AND I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS STORE AGAIN UNLESS THEY MAKE THIS RIGHT!! I have been to the other Mario's Pizza and had no problems whatsoever. I have never had an order so screwed up and tasting so egregious. If I could give less than 1 star it would certainly be warranted. This store did this franchise a grave injustice with this service. This particular store at Hanes Mall Blvd dropped the ball very badly!! Thank you for wasting my hard...
