I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and overall disgusted of what I experienced today at the Costco in Winston Salem. I have been a member for years now and I have never been treated like I was today. Me and my wife were buying 200+ dollars worth of groceries around 3 o’clock. We were all okay until the cashier lady told us “ Our store does not allow the purchase of one pack of bagels… go to the back and get one more”….. I respond okay? So my wife goes to grab the bag of bagels. The lady then asked me if I would like to purchase the black Costco card and I nicely denied. She then starts to state that. “. I am losing my money every time I come here if I don’t get the card”. The manager was also right next to her saying. “ Why would you not want the card it’s easy money and your not losing”….. (Is this how you promote your business Costco it’s absolutely disgusting). I nicely decline the offer and then the cashier lady says. “ Fine that’s your deal”. By then the manager left and she tells me that I can pay already and I say. “My wife hasn’t come back she has the card”. She then says “ The payment has to be in your name we cannot except her paying”….. I told her it’s our joint account and she has the card. She states “that doesn’t matter it has to be in your name”….. So you’re telling me I get a Costco card for ourselves and I pay with my money on my card and I have to make sure it comes out of my own wallet to purchase my items. This is absolutely ridiculous she then tells me to wait to call her manager over. At this point I am over the situation and I pay her cash from my emergency fund. And she take the money from my hand and gives me my receipt and says nothing else. My wife not even 1 second later comes and says what happened and I explain to her the situation. We both are disappointed, disgusted, and over all upset of our treatment. The cashier was an older women with glasses blonde short hair, and wrinkles everywhere and wearing white today. This whole experience was not only humiliating but also disgusting on how she treated us. I hope Costco does something about her and the manger for basically calling me a loser and how I’m going to regret my decision and not letting me pay with my 1 card I have. If you see a white. I’m absolutely appalled by the way I was treated by a Costco supervisor named Mary M. from the Oklahoma City office regarding a failed delivery and setup of a TV console I paid to have fully assembled. They didn’t even leave the instruction manual.
The delivery team arrived, cut the console out of the box, carried it into my home, set it down, took a photo like the job was done—and walked right back out. They completely ignored the mounting bracket installation, which is part of the service I paid for. The TV is supposed to swivel, and that part was completely skipped.
When I called in to report the issue, I expected Costco to take responsibility and resolve it quickly. Instead, I got a dismissive, demeaning, and condescending response from Mary M., who offered me a mere $100 and said someone could come back in five days to finish the job. I explained to her that I’m 35 years old, and due to a recent stroke and lesions in my spinal cord, I’m physically unable to install the bracket myself. Her response? “I would just put it together myself.”
That comment was completely insensitive, unprofessional, and dehumanizing—especially after I had just explained my health condition. I then asked if Costco could increase the compensation to $200 so I could pay someone to come and complete the job the next day. Mary M. said no, claiming it shouldn’t cost more than $75. I reminded her that you can’t even get a plumber or technician to show up for $75, let alone do actual work. Her response made it painfully clear how out of touch she is with both the real world and basic human decency.
Costco is supposed to stand for quality and customer care—but this experience was the exact opposite. Mary M. demonstrated a shocking lack of empathy and professionalism and clearly needs serious retraining—if not reevaluation for her role entirely.

I visited the store at at 7:40 pm, store closes at 8:30 pm, when I asked to you have s10 in stock he said no initially and then I asked if you have s10+ instock he said yes, but there is no promotion on this device, I asked him to check once again then he aggreed that yes there is promotion on this phone too.
Then he started to serve me and my account details, which he was able to pull up with the details I shared, I was looking to add a line in my account,
When he looked into my account my last name did not match to that with the account, but my first name matched and phone number matched and was able to open my account with my details.
Still he mad up his mind that he will not sell to me.
He said he can't do, he called up his manager to authorize, even his manager did not, I understood they are doing their job. It problem with my account, so they suggested to fix my account and come back.
So I got on call with my carrier customer service and got it fixed , this took until 8:10.
Went on to Cellular service agent to check my account , He was reluctant to do and said that he can't do this today , I asked him why. He said he can't do this today in 15 mins and they close at 8:30 and he said he it was long day for him. I requested please can you do this today I drove from long distance. He again looked at the account and said he can't do this again. I asked him again why, he said no, I can't and shouted at me saying NO loudly.
I reminded him that his manager said we can do this if I have my account corrected which I did.
Then he replied toe saying in anger that I'm not selling the phone to you
I'm not selling any phone to you, do you have problem with that.
And I think he made up his mind in first time that he wis not going to sell me any phone to me. I think, by the way he was talking to me ,he is rational to me.
