So, I happened to be here when the nationwide crash happened. I actually walked in after it happened. I saw all the long lines and wondered if some huge sale was going on I didn't know about. I asked a lady that was waiting in line and she said the registers had crashed and they were working on getting them rebooted and back up. I decided to take my time shopping hoping they'd get fixed soon. Granted I was only in the store for two items but still. Got my things and a few extra and went to the front. A manager met me to let me know they were still down. I decided to just wait a bit. Wasn't really in a huge hurry anyway and I'd much rather wait there than go to Walmart. I noticed people getting angry and upset. I get it, you want to get your stuff and go but this issue was absolutely not the fault of a single employee in that store. Zero reason to be rude to them. They're just as frustrated. They were handing out juices to the kids and Starbucks to the adults. That was awesome of them! (and a great idea I'll run by my own store when our registers crash. Because guys, it does happen. Employees of the store are NOT at fault) anyway the line I was in had a manager at one of the registers so she decided to let another cashier ring people that had cash. The cashier had to use her phone to scan stuff to get the prices and codes then she had to add it with her phone and add tax. Yes, this took a little time because it's not just scanning and ringing up. I actually had cash and I was about the 4th person she rang up. They apologized repeatedly and tried doing it as fast as possible. They also gave me $5 off my order for having to wait! Wasn't necessary but I still appreciated it. I think the employees handled the entire situation well. I will always shop at this Target (Hanes Mall) the store is always neat and clean and the employees always friendly. Good job...
Read moreDefinitely could have been a better trip. I placed a pick up order at around 12:30 pm and it was not ready until 5pm. I had drove to the store to see what was going on because pickup always states 2 hours or less. I've ordered pickup a few times and never encountered this issue of a long wait. One item they stated was out of stock and it actually was not, I went right into the store and where it was at.
Decided to get a different size and style anyway (toddlers socks) went and got boys socks instead. My son is autistic (just diagnosed) and he likes to get an empty gift card and play over at the ATM right at customer service. He's been told by associates before that it's fine but today we were rudely told by the woman over at self checkout that he can't do that! Very snarky and an attitude about it, I was trying to tell my son to come to me and to stop just so she would be satisfied but she just stood there like just glaring and watching us.
It made me super uncomfortable and just want to stick with the Kernersville and University Parkway locations. She was tall, skinny, blonde and had big black teardrop earrings. You shouldn't have to state that your child is autistic to get them to show you even a little respect. I understand getting kids to behave but we're trying and hoping therapy will help him to behave better in public.
Even before the diagnosis, the associates always engage with him and are sweet and talk to him and and give him stickers but apparently this location needs a refresher course on customer service, respect and with customers with special needs. If anyone wants a great location to go to then go to Kernersville or...
Read moreSunday visit to target turned very ugly while we shopped. My daughter was being pointed at, laughing and staring by a man and his son. My daughter is a female.. Born a female... She just dresses unlike most girls. Gym short, t shirts, and kicks. Her hair is long..beautiful.. We were shoping for her swim suit for an end of the 6th grade yr party. She's in the ackward phase in her body growth, she can't wear a kids size girl top, not that she would if it were an option... We were in the womens looking for a top when I notice the man's attention was caught when he walked by my daughter. My first thought was PERVE ALERT. Until I noticed him and his son pointing and laughing at my daughter. They were betting on her gender. I heard them both. So when I walked by them I said "shes a female since your asking" he was without words. He tried to say they were talking about her t-shirt. I just looked him dead in the eyes daring him to say anything else. My daughter fell apart I tried to comfort her as much as possible. She's insecure anyway bc she gets these looks alot with all the gender differences now. It ruined her day, I grabbed her when I saw her start crying bc she doesnt like crying in front of people. Im sick to my stomach and I doubt I'll get her in a target anytime soon.
Guys be mindful, keeps your kids close to you, people can be so disgusting.
