Easy to find brightly colored building with a large flat parking lot on Peter's Creek Pkwy (Hwy 150) beside Bojangles & close to Marketplace Mall. Handicap accessible parking, entrance & seating. I went to eat lunch Saturday & I was greeted & sat immediately. I had my choice of tables or booths bc the place was completely empty. The menu I received had been damaged by some liquid previously & half of it was not readable. I requested another one but instead my waitress began reading the list of options to me. The waitress was nice, in a good mood & tried hard to make us happy even tho she only spoke Spanish (we only speak english)& it made things a bit difficult so she ended up having to get someone else to translate everything for us. They have a full bar & our mixed drinks were delicious (blue motorcycle & mango margarita) + reasonably priced for large glasses but they offer smaller sizes as well as pitchers. They have a pretty good variety of all the types of food items u would expect to find: tacos, nachos, enchiladas, quesadillas etc n ur choice of meat. They bring delicious freshly made salsa & tortilla chips to the table with ur drinks. Everything is reasonably priced (approx $10-15/person). They have lunch special prices for smaller portions but pay attention to what u choose to order some items they offer come with twice as much food for just $2 more. The cheesy bean dip we got for our appetizer was so yummy & we had enough to pour over our food 2. My mother said her steak tacos were good but she didn't like it enough to eat the leftovers. I ordered the enchiladas & they smelled good but were completely smothered in some dark sauce which tasted so horrible no amount of scraping & doctoring could make them edible. I suggest u request ur sauces on the side just incase. By the time we left 3 other tables had been filled by hungry patrons. I hope they had a better experience than we did. It wasn't so bad I'll never return. I'm willing to give them another...
Read moreSo my wife amd I stopped here for lunch on Labor Day. The restaurant was not busy when we came in and we were instructed to sit wherever we liked. Everything was pretty clean and the chips and salsa were pretty good; so so far everything was going pretty smoothly. After looking over the menu, which seemed a little overpriced, my wife ordered the Carne Asada and I ordered a Steak Burrito with a Taco on the side. It took a reasonable amount of time to get our food, but the quality was pretty terrible. The rice and beans were the absolute worst I've ever tasted. I mean seriously, how do you mess up rice and beans? It's like no effort was put forth to make the food appealing at all. Both were completely void of seasoning or flavor and the refried beans were old (most likely leftovers from god know how many days ago) and watery. It took forever to flag down the waitress just to get some salt and pepper, which didn't help the flavor in the slightest. The steak was tough and dry like a piece of leather and half the plate was pretty much nothing but iceberg lettuce thrown on there haphazardly to serve as a garnish. The corn tortillas that came with the Carne Asada and the flour tortilla used for my Burrito were both cold, dry and rubbery. Then after an unsatisfying meal, we had to wait a 20 minutes for half the staff to come out from the back of the restaurant so they could get us our bill and ring us up at the register. No refills were offered either, so yeah, we were pretty bummed out about the whole experience. I'm not a picky person and hardly ever complain about food, but damn this was bad. Bottom line; the prices are way too high for you to receive nothing more than garbage quality food and service. DO NOT EAT HERE. You're better off going literally...
Read moreTerrible. The refried beans were watery, completely void of any flavor whatsoever and tasted like they were scraped off someone else's plate from the night before and onto mine. Salsa was also watery and bland. The tortilla chips were stale and unsalted. Rice was undercooked and flavorless. My wife ordered steak fajitas priced at $17 and what she got were beef strips so overdone and dry that they had the same consistency as shoe leather. Paired with that: a side of they tried to pass off as a 'guacamole salad' was just a messy pile of dripping wet shredded iceberg lettuce with a small, unseasoned, brown avacado blob slapped on top. They charge way too much money for food that is absolute garbage; the food quality and service there is just embarrassing. How they've stayed in business this long is nothing short of miracle. On top of all that, the employees were unatentive and rude; they acted like our very presence was an inconvenience. When we were ready for the check, literally every staff member in the building disappeared to the back of the restaurant for 15 minutes including what i assume was the owner manning the register. I'm really not a picky eater and rarely ever have anything negative to say when it comes to reviews, but this was, without a doubt, the absolute worst restaurant experience I have ever had. Don't waste your time or money on this place. Honestly, I would've been better off going to the Taco Bell down the street; at least they know how to properly make...
