Me and my family have eaten here several times over the years always been a great experience. Tonight just wasn't one of those experiences my wife ordered a turkey sandwich and floppy chips which came out obviously crispy it was even mentioned at the counter those were replaced my wife also said the sandwich wasn't cooked well the bacon wasn't crispy very chewy and we were told customers don't typically like it crispy so request it in the future, you know like the chips right? I got the TJs club sandwich and potato salad I ate half of my sandwich and then realized there was no cheese at all on the sandwich menu clearly says provolone not to mention like my wife's it just wasn't cooked well. I went to the counter got the attention of a cook I told him the situation he said "what do you want me to do?" as if I was asking for a handout could have come across less rude so told him to give me some cheese I guess. This didn't provide any kind of consolation as the sandwich was undesirable at this point. My children got chicken tenders and fries which have always been great and again tonight the best thing we had ordered I also went for ice cream which yet again is always a hit no exceptions again I especially appreciate the woman was very lively about making and serving it not at all like the front counter which seemed they gave up on the day at this point. My wife requested to speak to the manager after a bit he came to our table heard our experience was apologetic said if we haven't already got ice cream he offered it on the house. Conclusion we may try here again after awhile to give another shot but its only a consideration I hope they can correct some things not very...
Read moreI was running errands, stopped here for the first time in my life to get a sandwich. I ordered the Italian sub without 1000 island dressing, (I've worked in and run restaurants for about 20 years, never heard of 1000 Island dressing on an Italian sub.), got home, sat down, and first bite had the collagen rind on the pepperoni. Said rind is supposed to be removed before slicing the meat, but not a big deal, I took the sub apart and peeled the rind off all of the pepperoni and finished the sub. Overall, the taste was good aside from the toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, and banana peppers) being extremely unevenly placed. Service was okay, seemed as though two employees were more interested in each other rather than their Jobs, but from the body language I assume the male employee was a manager and the female employee was only a cashier. Felt as though the only professional employees were the two gentleman preparing the orders. Would not go out of my way to get food here again, but if I happen to be in the area again for some reason I may give it a second chance. Not great,...
Read moreWe have been regular customers of TJs for many years. But after yesterday's experience, not making plans to go back, even though we live close by. My friend & I came to get burgers. We ordered at counter like mosr people.. Price seemed to high, but we were there. There was no else in line and only a few people seated. Although, I did not order a drink, the cashier added to my order.? I paid in cash. Your CC policy extra charge is ridiculous..! Even though only few other people in restaurant, several were working to prepare.. The lady at the register left soon after taking our order. After waiting too long, our number was called. My hamburger was very thin and overcooked. The bun was dried and almost not eatable. More like a lettuce sandwich on toast?? Not sure if this "standard service", but definitely not good service. I know TJ has had new owners for a while now. So owner needs to know, how bad service is now. Please get your act together if you can? Culver's has better food and priced more reasonable than you do. Will go there next time we want a burger or...
