Tijuana Flats — Restaurant in Winter Haven

Food is usually good and the staff is nice but the store manger is a witch. I use to love this place, ate there multiple times a week. One night however changed that, I ordered some food for pickup. I got home and it was just terrible. I threw the whole thing away not thinking about it; it wasn't until my mother complained that even her bowl was not gross as well. I called and complained because it wasn't the quality we were use too. I then remembered that they started serving turkey meat. I suggested that possible it was turkey because the meat didn't taste or looked like their beef. The young lady apologized and said they would replace it. The next day I called for them to make them along with ordering some other food as well. When I arrived to pick up my food, the store manager was rudely saying they weren't going to be replacing the food again and that there was nothing wrong with the food it was me. Then proceed to tell me that they put the turkey meat away at 9. Luckily I had my receipt which validated that my food was order well before 9 and it was a possibility that the wrong meat could've been used to make my bowls. I refuse to support a business that is going to belittle me and make me feel like I'm trying to steal from them when I spent tons of money with them without...

So myself,wife and son went to have the father's day bogo.. On the website it says buy one and receive one meal equil or cheaper meal free.. We asked the girl who took our order and she said would be taken care of at the end of ordering. We got to our seat and the free meal was not credited. We told the girl what happened and then she tells us that you have to purchase the same meal to get one free?? Are you kidding me... That is not what the site said online..

Wait their is more: a few of the employees are siting at a booth and a guy comes in and sits so they get him a fountain drink and are loud! Then the girl saw a friend from legoland and runs to the door pushing it open vary hard and yells at her then she comes in and joins their PARTY... Then a group of people customers come in and order and the help is siting in two booths and didn't move so the customers can have the booth! This restaurant use to be a great place to come and eat not now because the last two times it has been horrible.

Oh and think about this someone is paying these immature kids to fool around when they should be working! Question is their new owners? This restaurant is vary...

I absolutely love Tijuana Flats! After we realized the Tsunami Sushi was closed on a Sunday, we instead decided to visit Tijuana Flats next door. We have one locally up in Leesburg and I've always had a positive experience with them.

We were warmly greeted at this location and the staff was generally friendly when interacting with customers. We ordered 2 burritos with meal included. Our food came in a timely manner and the inside was not over crowded, but it was busy. Music also was nice and not blaring away.

The blackened chicken burrito itself was excellent as always. The sides were seasoned rice and refried beans. The rice was pretty good and not dried out or overly seasoned. However I was disappointed with the refried beans. They had the consistency of goop and easily fell through my fork to plop back on my plate. Once I mixed them with my rice, it wasn't as bad.

I also wish someone had asked how our meal was before we left. I probably would've mentioned that.

Over all it was a positive dining experience and will return as long as the beans are are a little...
