Man, I keep reading these reviews saying “best Mexican food I’ve had in years”, and I have to say: No way, Jose. That was not a great experience. I’ll start off with the worst part: The Staff. Our waiter treated us like a huge inconvenience as he obviously grumbled when we asked for more chips. When he asked what we wanted to drink, he made some kind of “what the hell” type of grunt when only 1 of the 5 of us ordered an alcoholic drink. I don’t know who “Miguel” is in these other reviews, but we most definitely did not get him. Next up: The Food. I was the one who got a margarita at our waiters recommendation and the “HIGHLY RECOMMENDED” printed on the image in the menu. That margarita was 1) Not tasty, and 2) Pretty confident it didn’t have any tequila in it. The food is ok, food is pretty standard to bland, but I will say the portions are nice and big. Lastly: The Vibes. Vibes are cozy, and the restaurant is obviously popular. Getting there is kinda odd with the parking situation at Copper Creek Way. Tables weren’t super clean. Can decide if I’d give it another shot, but it was overall a subpar experience with a few semi-redeemable things. Venture at your own risk.

Your restaurant is only as good as the worst employee you have. In this case, the friendliest people were the guys happily cleaning the walkway outside. The servers were cold but that wasn’t the issue, our daughters chicken smelled like a dumpster and she spit it out. Handed it to a guy who couldn’t be bothered and quietly said: “the chicken is bad”, please let the kitchen know. They didn’t tell our server, instead simply told him to take it off the bill. No apology was offered for her spitting out gross chicken and not wanting to eat anything else while there. Owner: please make sure your people check all highly perishable products daily. If you’re near the store, go in and check right away. I let the server know on our way out that no one ever said “sorry about that”. Again, you’re only as good as your worst employee. Choose wisely.

I commonly order hard shell beef tacos to use when comparing unfamiliar Mexican restaurants. Unfortunately, Casa's shells were saturated w grease and it's meat was nondescript. The white queso was unappealing thick mayo seasoned too hot, as was the caliente red sausa. Others were equally unimpressed w the food quality and the service. The margarita & mohito were essentially glasses of ice rimmed with salt. And though the waiter served us free house tequila shots as a finishing treat before the bill, the additional alcohol was as impactful as the preceding meal. It was a nice attempt, but had no satisfying impact.

This place gave our entire group food poisoning. Not the best Mexican food I’ve had. Ate the chipotle burrito for dinner (the chicken was dry and flavorless, chipotle sauce was badly flavored), and I’ve been sick to my stomach for a full day afterward now. They will also sell you on their “#1 margarita” which is way over priced and not good at all, watered down. Do not eat here, I know it’s convenient location but your stomach will thank you.

Update: my girlfriend had the steak and shrimp tacos and she is completely ill, seriously avoid this place. Completely ruined our weekend at the wine festival.

Another update: Our entire group of 4 people have been sick all weekend, completely ruined our vacation this weekend, do not go here.

This place holds no accountability either clearly. Look at the owners comment below. You have multiple people complaining about this and instead of taking the feedback and trying to improve, you try to shift the blame to another restaurant. You know what is undeniable evidence that your food made us sick? None of us had eaten at the same restaurant before that until eating at your restaurant and then ALL 4 OF US got sick at around the same time the next day. Get your facts straight, food poisoning can set in 6-24 hours later, we all fell ill within that time frame. I recommend taking a hard look in the mirror and focus more on improving your restaurant instead of shifting blame to protect your ego. Listen to your customers, 3.8 stars is not something to be proud of. Once again, do not eat at this restaurant unless you want to get sick, clearly the ownership isn’t going to try and improve things, they would rather argue and claim lies in the...

Horrible Service !!

My whole experience at this restaurant from beginning to end was just a horrible . We first waited in the entrance for about 5 minutes without anybody tending to us . We finally got a table about 10 minutes later. I asked the waiter for the drink menu or what drink specials thry had and he pointed at the small menu on the table and said it's right there. Then I asked him for a margarita and he brought one on the rocks and I said oh I'm sorry could I have a frozen one and the waiter responded by saying well this one tastes really good. I told him I had really prefer a frozen one if possible. So he got upser and just took my cup and left .I could hear him put my drink into a blender and brought it back like a melted slushie with chunks of ice. He placed it on my table and walked away upset . He never had a smile or never try to make us comfortable . He overall just seem mad to even be working that day and took it out on us . When we ask to get our ticket that we weren't going to order he didn't even try to ask us to stay or to ask why he just left and brought us our ticket and put it on the table and walked away. I've never felt more uncomfortable. Especially since we're turist we always expect to have a good time but we left this restaurant so disappointed. Our original destination was LIME but the maps got us lost and took us to this town of Fraser so we decided to give Casa Mexico a try. Next time I'll be more careful and read reviews. I hope this...

I recently dined at Casa Mexico, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting, with tasteful decor and a warm atmosphere. Our waiter, Miguel, played a significant role in making our evening memorable.

Miguel was not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, providing insightful recommendations based on our preferences. His genuine enthusiasm for the dishes and the culinary artistry behind them added an extra layer to our dining experience.

The Mexican cuisine itself was outstanding—each dish showcased a perfect blend of flavors and presented with an artistic touch. The attention to detail in both preparation and presentation was evident, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to culinary excellence.

The service was seamless, with Miguel ensuring our glasses were never empty and our needs anticipated before we could ask. His professionalism and friendliness enhanced the overall enjoyment of the evening.

The timing of each course was impeccable, allowing us to savor every moment without feeling rushed. Miguel struck a perfect balance between being attentive and giving us the space to enjoy our meal and conversation.

In summary, Casa Mexico exceeded expectations, thanks in large part to the outstanding service provided by Miguel. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a delightful Mexican culinary experience in Winter Park Colorado coupled with...
