I dig me some Moe's every so often! They offer a very tasty vegetarian (or vegan, if you don't get cheese) burrito for about ten bucks- and it's big! You also get the free tortilla chips, and tons of salsa- unlike Chipotle! They also play VERY cool, new-wave/punky music in the dining room, which is terrific! THAT would have given the 'atmosphere' part five stars. Instead, I gave it TWO. Due to the issue I will address below...
However, today I went in and the weather outside was like 50 degrees. I walked inside, and it felt the same- VERY cold! The fans were on and, cold air was blowing. I asked if they could please turn off the fans and adjust the temp- he said 'sorry, but as per the company, we are not allowed to adjust the temperature or touch the thermostat'.
WHAT?? Seriously. That is awful. I get that an establishment doesn't want every employee playing with the thermostat, but any company who doesn't trust their management to adjust the temperature (not just to appease guests- who can be annoying- but to adjust for weather- which was COLD TODAY) is a company in need of an overhaul. It IS possible to put locks on the thermostats to where only management has the key, and they can adjust when necessary- in a case like today, when the weather was unusually cold. This can solve this problem. But to keep it ONE temperature, with managers having ZERO control?! That is a HORRIBLE, ridiculous, corporate policy!
Management is there to ensure that the store runs properly in every way- including the comfort of the guests in the seating area. More liberties need given to the management. If Moe's can't trust management that they themselves hire to run their stores- then they need to close shop. *And, btw the manager I spoke with, who apologetically explained that he wasn't permitted to change the temperature in the building was VERY nice. He should be given the opportunity to do the job you...
Read moreYesterday I ordered a burrito bowl through the mobile app. It said my food would be ready by 11:56 so I got to to the location at about 11:58. When I got there, I was told they were still making it. 10 minutes go by, 15 minutes go by and nothing. There was barely a line during that time. I decided to check the app and noticed that it said that my food had been complete and delivered. I went to an employee and informed her of this. She said they would look into it, that they probably gave my food to someone else and that she was very sorry. They were going to verify that is what happened and make my food. At that time, a ton of people arrived and the line was almost out of the door. Seeing that there was such a line, I patiently waited for my food. After a total of 30 minutes had passed and i still hadnt gotten my food, i went to the register, where i was ignored for about 10 minutes. I decided to leave the restaurant but i went back inside since i had already paid for my food and i was shaking from how hungry i was. I technically only have 30 minutes of lunch time so i wasnt going to have time to get food anywhere else. I went back inside, someone finally addressed me and made my food in under a minute. When i check my bag i noticed they gave me a burrito instead of a bowl. At that point i couldnt keep waiting, I had to go back to work.
I will NEVER use the mobile app again or go to this location again. The way they handled the situation was unacceptable. I did the mobile app order because of the fact that i only have 30 minutes of lunch. On top of that, they didnt give me what i ordered, the chips were cold, and the queso dip had a hair in it. Just absolutely ridiculous. Worst experience at a...
Read moreAs others have mentioned, this location has the most inconsistent hours. It’s insane. You can’t (or shouldn’t) go unless you’re in the area because if you make a trip for it, they could be closed. Went a couple weeks ago at 1:30 and they had a sign on the door saying they were closing at 2 for training. They must be really understaffed cuz you can’t just close a restaurant for training when it’s normal lunch hours. I was glad I made it in time.
The only guy working the line was clearly new. I had the worst wrapped burrito I’ve ever had in my life. Messy and annoying but no big deal. I’m sure burrito wrapping is an acquired skill and I couldn’t do it myself. However, someone did need to teach him about portions. I ordered a side of queso (smallest size they offer for queso) and this man didn’t even give me half a scoop of chips. I took it to go so by the time I realized, it was too late. But I basically had nothing to dip in the queso I bought. Everyone’s entree is supposed to come with chips, but especially when you pay for a side of queso, you’re expecting chips. Other Moe’s I go to literally fill half the bag with chips queso or not. The chips I did get were stale too.
Moe’s is my favorite quick service Mexican place so it pains me to say this, but this location should just close. They’re not operating...
