#Florida #Orlando #WinterPark Day 3 of our Orlando trip wasn’t too eventful, so let’s talk about a few restaurants we visited. We headed to Winter Park, a city about 40 minutes away from Orlando—just a quick Uber ride. First stop: the brunch spot in pics 1 & 2. The interior design was lovely, and the food was both delicious and affordable. **Boca Kitchen Bar** 📍 358 North Park Ave Suite A, Winter Park, FL 🌸 After brunch, we visited the Morse Museum, diagonally across from Boca. It’s a great way to kill time—student tickets are just $1, and the exhibits were quite impressive. Perfect for soaking up a peaceful afternoon vibe. Next, we strolled to a coffee shop. The walk was lined with charming American-style architecture, offering a leisurely taste of the upscale suburban charm. At **The Glass Knife**, we ordered some cakes and tea—decent flavors, around $14 per person, pretty budget-friendly. The place also has tons of cute corners for photos. 🌸 By 4 PM, we were already thinking about late-night hunger pangs, so we grabbed burgers from the nearby **Shake Shack** to save for a midnight snack 😅. Wrapped up the day by heading back to recharge—played some games, chatted, and called it a night.

I have been shopping at Trader Joe's since it opened. When I moved here, that was the one store I missed. This place is in the same shopping 'square' (for lack of a better term) but I've never tried it. So, yesterday I walked in to look around and try something. I tried their ice cream which is actually frozen custard. Wow!! THIS is the texture of Gelato I had in Germany (which they import from Italy) so many years ago and I've never found Stateside. I tried their special flavor and it was amazing. As I licked away at my scrumptious Gelato-smoothe-ice cream, I wandered around. Outside, in back is the nicest area by the lake you can imagine. It is so nice and peaceful...and potentially romantic. Guys...if you want something your date with love, take her here for 'dessert'. Order two (or one double) of their cones and sit outback by the lake or just stroll round arm in arm. SHE WILL LOVE IT! (I've included several pics so you can see but they don't do it justice. ) Did I eat the food? No. But for what I had and the atmosphere, it is worth 5 stars plus!

So I've heard nothing but great things about Shake Shack since they opened in Winter Park. My girlfriend and I decided to try it out this evening. I'm shocked that they charge so much for so little examples in the pictures. I was also very surprised that a smashed burger could be undercooked as pictured. The only thing that could make this flavor worse is if they used Burger King's impossible meat at least then it wouldn't be undercooked. Maybe if the staff wasn't just hanging out watching TikTok it would have been better. Shake Shack step up your game and your sizing... Remember must drain grease from burgers every 1000 miles. 8-17-22 Thank you Jake for reaching out. But I'm not looking for a free meal out of this I needed to let everyone know how bad and over priced the food is and how poor the service was. The burger was RAW not medium.

I had been hearing about and reading about the Shake Shack take for quite some time

Possibly much of the chatter about this restaurant came from the restaurant itself

This week we had the opportunity to eat at the shake shack for the very 1st time

We entered the restaurant and the 1st thing you do is get in line to place your order at the cash register. I am not overly fond of this kind of scenario for dining in location

There were 3 of us eating this evening everybody ordered a Burger or ordered 3 sides of French fries 2 milkshakes and 2 sodas. The bill was just under $60 to eat at a hamburger joint. I know prices have gone up across-the-board but this was very high

OK we had heard good things about the restaurant we weren't goingna complain about the prices and we are gonna let the product talk for itself

They handed us a little number on a stick and we went and sat down at the table. Even though this was around the dinner hour the restaurant was less than half full.

When the server brought our food over to us she had the Burger's fries and drinks for 2 of us and totally missed everything for the 3rd person in our party. I can't understand how that could happen, missing one item in an order is not necessarily a bad thing but missing every item for particular person's meal is unacceptable

The server went back and brought out the Burger fries and shake for this particular individual in a relatively quick period of time and for that they get credit

The burgers that arrived were not hot, they were not cold either but they were barely over room temperature so they had been sitting for a while waiting to be brought out to us. Again I'll mention the restaurant was less than half full

The taste of the burgers was pretty good I had a bacon cheeseburger and the bacon that they use was spectacular, it was nice thick cut crispy bacon the Burger Patty itself was fairly tasty the bun was nothing special one way or another

The French fries were not bad but again they were not anything spectacular and they were no hot. Now it is entirely possible that I am being slightly overcritical about the taste of the food based on the high cost of the meal

The milkshakes were made from fresh scooped ice cream and we're quite flavourful. Probably the best part of the meal

Normally I will give an establishment 3 strikes in their out. That's to say I won't let a bad 1st impression keep me from trying them a second time

In the case of the Shake Shack they will not be getting a second visit. Not because of the quality of the product but because of the high price, there are so many established businesses out there that have comparable or better food for...

Update: After posting this review, the management reached out to investigate and apologized for the poor service and provided a discount code valued at $25.00. This is reflective of a business trying to do the right thing. Hopefully some training will help to resolve the issues pointed out in my review. As a result, I have amended my rating from 3 stars to 4. Thank you Shake Shack!

Poor service. Order came up relatively quickly. Place is very clean. However, I visited twice over three days. 1st time they forgot to add fries. Drove about 3 blocks and realized it was missing. Returned immediately to the restaurant and not one, but two employees investigated staring at the order on the bag that clearly said fries. Both seemed either confused or skeptical about my claim of missing fries. Another employee overhearing my predicament simply walked up and dropped the fries in my bag and said here you go. Overall, not a big deal. Two days later, my son who had enjoyed the meal asked to go back to the Shake Shack. I ordered 1 hamburger (specifically no cheese) with ketchup and mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions on the side, one double hamburger with bacon (specifically no cheese) ketchup only, and lettuce and tomatoes on the side and finally a cheddar cheese bacon burger with everything on it including ketchup and mayo, no mustard or fries. Instead... what I got were three single American cheese burgers with everything on them. One did come with bacon including ketchup and mayo. Thinking the order was taken incorrectly, I checked the bag tag and it was clearly correct. I told the manager, who told an employee what I said. She mentioned that she would talk to the staff, but didn't offer any kind of replacement (we had already eaten it), or compensation for over charging. Frankly, I didn't ask for any compensation because we were Lreay late for a 4 hour drive north. But at least offer to...

Excellent burgers and shakes, but WAY expensive. Parking is an absolute nightmare. Tried to eat there twice. The first time we gave up because after a fair bit of time driving around in circles, we could never find a parking spot. Because of the small parking lot being shared with Trader Joe's, it is stupid busy. There are no obvious alternatives for parking elsewhere and walking back, as all the other businesses up and down the street are tow away zones. If you aren't willing to stake a claim by waiting on someone getting ready to leave (a tactic which I personally despise), you will never, ever get to park. You can sit outside and overlook the lake. That's pretty cool. Burgers are excellent, but the patties are on the smallish side, smashed on the grill and cooked till the edges are slightly crisp. They claim their meat to be hormone free, so that's a plus. Buns are nicely grilled, but you don't get the huge selection of toppings like say, five guys. Fries were lightly seasoned. I thought they tasted like they had been fried with onion rings. Since they don't serve onion rings, I guess they intended for them to taste that way. Super chocolaty, chocolate shake was not very big, costs over $5, but was probably as good a shake as I have ever had if not the best. Did I mention it was really pricy? A burger, fries, and a shake are going to cost you about $17. That would be expensive for a place where you have a server....Sort of outrageous for a place that is really nothing more than an upscale McDonalds. If it was reasonably priced, and parking was better it might be a regular place for me, but to pay all that money for a little burger with all the parking...
