Nice atmosphere but what I ate upset my stomach. This is the 1st restaurant experience I have ever had in my 15 years of being a foodie that has given me the runs, so I definitely have to submit my review and save some people. I ate Around 7pm yesterday and by 9pm was on the toilet, by 12am I had the runs, woke me out my sleep twice and again in the morning and its the next day I my appetite is off. I had the appetizer Bhalla Papdi Chatt, I never had it before. It initially tasted good but there came a point where it needed something to offset the spices so I ordered the garlic Naan. I found myself having a struggle to eat it which was weird but thought, ok, its filling me up, guess I don't need an entree. The Naan was dry, I have tasted better. I also had the Shanghai drink which wasn't bad, probably the best thing out of everything. I was hesitant to have dessert but decided anyway to order the Mango Tiramisu, that was a big mistake, it was horrible, I couldn't eat the whole thing if I wanted to, it was literally a lady finger dipped in some coffee liquor and frozen inside of some cream somewhat the color of mango but tasted very very very little like mango, i think my mind was trying to convince me i was tasting mango, the rest of it was a white ice cream of some sort with no defined flavor and drizzled with some cheap Hersey chocolate syrup and a couple of random sprinkles, which I should have just sent it back at that point but still had hope that it would be good. Definitely the worst tiramisu I've ever had and i think shouldn't be on the menu at all. I said I didn't like it to the server and he looked at me surprised and he didn't remove it from the bill, which I, in turn, deducted half of what it cost from his tip but really it called for a full refund, I just didn't want to not tip him anything but the tip was also relevant to his service, he didn't check to see if i was happy after bringing the 1st dish out, didn't come back to ask me if i want anything else and didn't offer to comp the dessert after he saw i was not satisfied; then he left the payment machine at the table and walked away. Thank goodness I'm tech savvy because what if i wasn't, he was no where around to help figure it out. They weren't even busy when I went. In conclusion, I expected better and was very disappointed. I would not go back there again and would not recommend, at least what I had to anyone. Save that coin there are other Indian restaurants close by that offer a...
Read moreReal tasty. Our reviews had over 34 million views so far this year. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really loved Tabla. We do not know much about Indian food but every single thing we had was super great. The key is to ask your server what is good and let them guide you. I like spicy, she does not. I like exotics she likes chicken and beef. I had the "Indian Hot" and she had "American Hot". Mine was hot but not terrible, hers was as hot at wings, but milder than mine. I had goat on the bone in a red sauce that was divine. She had chicken in a pink sauce. Mine was called "Junglee Lal Mass" and I highly recommend it so much & I ordered a 2nd order before we left so I could take home and have tomorrow!!! She had the "Chicken Vindaloo" which they said was hot, but she thought it was the same as hot chicken wings and LOVED the flavor. Desserts are incredible. We tried 4 of them. She loves honey so the honey balls were were fav. They are doughy balls served very hot right out of the oven in a lovely honey mixture with Indian Spices. So good I had to have some myself. I had the dessert that is fried and inside is chocolate and coconut. Served very hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Worth the visit alone it was so good. The chocolate lava cake was great. Very dark chocolate very gooy very hot chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. Excellent. the other dessert was a multicolored ice cream and cake combo. You must like green tea ice cream to enjoy this one. We will be back for sure. Next time we are going to order a bunch of different stuff, to taste in the joint, get full and take the rest home. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. Read moreUpdate: Let me tell you that my last one star review was removed. I have reported the incident to door dash and will give kudos to them on how they’ve handled our situation but I will still avoid this place in near future. Original review: Tabla Restaurant in Orlando is one of those places that tests a customer’s patience and leaves them regretting their dining decision. After our experience tonight, it’s safe to say this establishment should be avoided, especially if you’re a tourist seeking a stress-free meal.
We placed an online order, expecting the convenience and reliability advertised. Instead, we endured a staggering 35-minute delay beyond the promised time. To make matters worse, the staff not only mishandled the order but also failed to include a key item, zeera rice, without which the entire meal was incomplete. We only discovered this after a 30-minute drive back to our hotel, by which time the restaurant was closed, leaving us with no way to rectify the situation. Imagine having curries but no rice to eat them with—absolutely infuriating and unacceptable.
The final insult came during the pickup. The manager or server had the audacity to dismissively explain that our order was “too big” to be prepared on time. This was not only unprofessional but also a clear admission of the restaurant’s inability to handle its operations. It’s baffling that a restaurant claiming to serve quality food lacks even a basic system to ensure timely and complete orders.
If you’re a tourist, think twice before ordering from Tabla Restaurant. Their process is inefficient, their management unresponsive, and their service borderline offensive. A meal here is not worth the frustration, especially when there are countless other options in Orlando that respect their customers’ time and trust. This experience has ensured we will never return—and will actively discourage others from doing so. I have attached my original order from door...
