We hosted our wedding welcome party here and loved it.
Highlights: -Communication was easy and prompt -Venue is beautiful and extremely well equipped with a zoned sound system inside and out, TVs you can display slideshows on, string-lit balcony, a small fridge, wine cooler, and lots of little extras available for borrowing like chalk board signs and whiteboards/easels. -They are flexible about using their vendors, choosing your own or DIYing. -The owner Chris went above and beyond in giving us advice on the best set up and making sure everything ran smoothly. There were even small vases of fresh flowers put out of for us the night of.
Small downsides -Though there's lots of extras, the basics we really missed were a sink and running water. Water fountains down the hall were turned off also. -Not very easy to find at night. It's tucked on the top floor of the nondescript "New England Building" and there's no specific parking for the building. -We were told Chris and Tim would be available day of and would be in and out to check on us, but really they stayed for the entire time (though often out on the balcony). While they went above and beyond in helping us with setup, questions, and even cleanup throughout the night, they stuck out being dressed super casually at a formal event, and it did make it feel a little less private than we initially thought...
Read moreI hosted an event here for my parents to celebrate their 35 year anniversary in secret. I had mixed feelings about what rating I would give this venue but after the stress died down I was able to give the 5 stars they truly deserved. This venue is a little diamond in the rough hidden deep within Winter Park. What makes it stand apart are the amazing owners who allow you numerous walk throughs and questions before you book their spot. The contract is fair and the pricing is comparable to other venues in the area.
PROS: -accomodating management -polite management -ABSOLUTELY beautiful interior (our guests loved the inside and we needed minimal decoration) -staff present to assist with setup -Pricing is transparent -multiple TVs throughout venue with easy setup for a picture slideshow (what we used it for) or a small video depending on what you need -bluetooth capability for music from your own phone or device to control
CONS: -No kitchen for food prep (food must be catered or pre cooked) -stricter guidelines for decor -must be knowledgeable of appropriate sternos setup -parking can be a nightmare (if it's an evening event it's better because you won't be ticketed) -guest navigation can be tough (encourage...
Read moreWe recently hosted my daughter’s high school graduation party at Penthouse 450 in Winter Park, and it was absolutely perfect. We received so many compliments from our guests about the venue. Everyone was blown away by the location, the views, and the overall ambiance.
The staff was beyond fantastic as well. They were friendly, helpful, and incredibly responsive. You could tell they genuinely cared about making our event special, and they made everything so easy. They worked with us to coordinate the uplight colors, photo slideshow, table setup , and linens. I really didn’t have to put much effort in and was actually able to enjoy my own event for once.
We used Panullo’s for catering, which is located downstairs and partners with the venue regularly. The food was delicious and having them so close made coordination so easy. I highly recommend using them and Penthouse 450 for a completely stress free event that your guests will rave about for months after!
I will definitely have a party here again...
