From the moment we arrived, The Glass Knife on Park Ave delivered an experience defined by charm, elegance, and impeccable hospitality. Our host and tour guide, Tyler, set the tone with his warm, bubbly demeanor and genuine enthusiasm. He graciously walked us through the restaurant’s exquisite dessert display and the captivating gallery wall showcasing the establishment’s collection of glass knives, each a relic from past World’s Fairs. It was a thoughtful touch that beautifully connected the restaurant’s name to its storied inspiration.
The ambiance is nothing short of stunning. Every detail, from the lighting to the music selection, feels intentional and creates an atmosphere that is both inviting and sophisticated. I was particularly drawn to the plush velvet booths near the front, which are ideal for an intimate date night or even a cozy meal with a loved one.
Our server, Ameisha, embodied the same spirit of service and professionalism. When asked for her recommendation, she immediately suggested the Cheddar Biscuit Sandwich Plate, a dish that exceeded every expectation. The biscuit was buttery and flaky, and the bacon jam was irresistible. We even found ourselves requesting extra. My friends ordered the Shakshuka and the Roasted Turkey Club Sandwich, and together we shared an indulgent tasting experience where each dish showcased balance, flavor, and craftsmanship.
Dessert was a spectacle in itself. The Red Velvet Cake, Candied Caramel Apple Pastry, Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie, and Pumpkin Pastry were almost too beautiful to eat. Each was an edible work of art that perfectly captured The Glass Knife’s commitment to both aesthetic and culinary excellence. Paired with Onyx Coffee, a Passion Fruit Martini, and The French Tart cocktail, the experience was as harmonious as it was memorable.
One of the most welcome innovations is The Glass Knife’s upcoming virtual waitlist, a thoughtful solution that allows guests to enjoy Park Avenue without the long waits often experienced at nearby establishments like Briarpatch.
In every respect, from service and presentation to taste and atmosphere, The Glass Knife achieves a rare balance of artistry and hospitality. It is not merely a place to dine, but a...
Read moreAbsolutely incredible dining experience at the new Park Ave location! Starting with the atmosphere; tastefully decorated to match the decadence of Park Ave. Most impressive was the sound maintenance. We were there while the restaurant was packed; every table filled; kitchen bustling. But, it wasn’t noisy! We had no problems talking amongst the table and even with neighboring tables without shouting. The food and drinks were fabulously presented, and most importantly, delicious. I had a strawberry lemonade mimosa, to start, and my daughter had a sparkling black cherry lemonade. There was so much to choose from! The variety and creativity of the items on the menu are tantalizingly. Next, my daughter ordered the opulent biscuits and gravy with a side of tomato soup. Sounds simple. Far from it! It was the best we ever tasted! I ordered shakshuka. Not an option often found on a menu; so I had to try it! I was not disappointed! The eggs were perfectly dippy topping the slightly spicy tomato base with a side of potatoes seasoned with red peppers, onions and spices. We finished with desert. We had to save room after perusing the dessert display! I settled on the pumpkin pastry with the crème brûlée cortado; and my daughter had the berries & cream pastry with hot chocolate. Everything was fresh and flavorful without being overpoweringly sweet. Our server was friendly, attentive, and impressive carrying the drinks without spilling a drop! Highly recommended place for...
