Poor customer service…. I’ve been a repeat customer of adjectives for years before moving to south Florida, and unfortunately during my largest purchase from the store had my worst experience. I purchased a large piece of artwork (along with many other items that same day) and was told by the associate that the art work could not be delivered to my out of town address, but it could be moved by the store to the nearest Fedex. For this reason, we made the purchase with the plan to ship via fedex. However, upon attempting to get the store to take it to fedex, we were told the exact opposite over the phone. That they would not move the painting to fedex, but they would ship it for $175. When we arrived to the store to begin the shipping process, we were then told that we’d been misquoted and the shipping would be $800. Further, when we expressed we would need to return the painting then with no way to get it home, we were told ONLY store credit would be issued. Clearly, this is unacceptable as we don’t even live in Orlando. Had any of this been communicated up front, we would not have purchased the painting. Adjectives took no responsibility for their employees giving us false information and now we are dealing with the consequences of their poor training. This will unfortunately be the last time we will be purchasing...
Read moreI had an unusual experience at this store while visiting with my mom and sister from out of town. This was yesterday around 5 pm. After browsing with the kids, our mom was ready to make a purchase, so my sister and I stepped outside while she waited at the counter. We rang the bell to signal she was ready to check out.
There was only one staff member, who was chatting with two other people standing very close to my mom. Despite clearly being next in line, she was never acknowledged, and the employee eventually went to the back with the others without saying a word to her. A simple “I’ll be right with you” would have gone a long way. Some basic customer service training could really improve...
Read moreI came to the store yesterday afternoon and the man at the register did not acknowledge me whatsoever while he was on a phone call. I understand if you are busy stocking or on a business-related phone call but you can at least say a quick "hello." Furthermore, this phone call was a personal one about his dating life and his voice was very loud. I could hear every detail as I circled around the store and he was still on the phone when I left. The store itself was clean and well-organized but the lack of any customer service makes me not want to come back to...
