HIDDEN GARDEN HAIR SALON — Local services in Winter Park

‼️ so I don’t usually come on here and complain. But I was very upset with hidden Garden hair salon in Winter Park. They did a great job on my hair but unfortunately they scammed me.  I was very excited to be able to get my hair done before the holidays and I DM’D them on Instagram because they had an ad for $40 off of an a hair color service including highlights which were for new members so basically I DM’D them and they let me know that I could come in on Sunday, Christmas Eve, so I walk in I’m very excited for my hair appointment and basically they speak little to no English only Russian and the whole time I was there I felt extremely uncomfortable not because they spoke Russian, but because of the way they treated me and kept shaking their head at my hair, and making it seem like they didn’t want me as a client. The lady Maya, who was doing my hair was very rude did not communicate acted like doing my hair was the worst thing she could’ve ever done in her life and I kind of just shrugged it off. It’s Christmas and I was just excited to see my hair… as we get done. My hair looks great and I go to pay and they said that I owe them $420 I was confused because with the discount the $30 deposit I put down for my appointment and what it said on the website at the highlights were only $180 …. I shouldn’t have been paying over $200. When I asked for a price breakdown because I was a little bit confused she could not answer me so she put me on the phone with someone who admitted to not being transparent with their prices online and that they should’ve done better with that. They wanted me to zelle them. they could not provide an itemized receipt or any receipt at all. I’m very disappointed in my choice coming to the salon and how misleading these people are… definitely don’t go here. I have had the same process of highlights done… blow dry and style for under that amount multiple times. It was ridiculous that they were trying to charge me that, and not being able to explain why it shouldn’t have cost that much for simple highlight and blow dry. I did not even get my hair cut these people are scam artists. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. This is ridiculous. I am well aware that have a nice hair cost a lot of money and I’m willing to pay the price but this hair was not worth the price I...

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Hidden Garden Salon. I spent over six hours here with high expectations, especially since it’s located in the middle of Winter Park. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disaster.

I showed the stylist my reference picture multiple times to be clear about what I wanted, but the result was nothing like it. The color didn’t match at all and the quality of the work was very poor. It's important for me to say that I did express myself to the stylist and she offer a wash off, but it was already past 8pm and I needed to get back home to my 2 under 2 babies. So I reached out through Instagram to get it fixed and they started telling me that I needed to pay again to get fix. This got me very upset because it hadn't even been 24 hours. And it was there mistake. Then they try to tell me that "it wasn't that bad" and told me to "wash my hair myself and that would correct the color" after I paid $300 for a service that I didn't received. VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Then I went back to the salon personally to try to address the issue, the salon "owner" refused to give me any kind of refund not even a partial refund. The owner completely refused. And told me just come back another day and she'll have the other lady fix it (same lady that already messed up once) ... of course i said NO. Especially because there is a ton of reviews here about same issue and not ever after "correcting" look good. And we all know how delicate "hair jobs are" (I wish i did more digging before coming here). Another huge challenge was the language barrier. The owner and staff spoke only Russian, so I had to stay on the phone with someone else just to translate. I didn’t even know what was being said between them, which made the whole process very frustrating.

Hidden Garden Hair Salon was recommended to me by few of my most reputable friends with gorgeous hair. My sister wanted to get perfect blond for her complexion and o wanted to get perm. We've made an appointment with one of the professional Alina. The very first impression is the magical feeling of being in a total different place than Orlando. I mean we do live in The City Beautiful but this Winter park hidden gem is whole new level. I can't even describe the beauty and aesthetics YOU HAVE TO COME AND SEE FPR YOURSELVES!!! The place is immaculately clean and well kept. My sister received the consultation and had all her questions answered. LOTS AND LOTS OF USEFUL INFORMATION!!! The whole process took about 4 hours during which we got know Alina and she is absolutely amazing. She seriously reminded me one of the Disney Princesses, beautiful kind and hardworking! I've got my consultation as well and guess what! they've changed my mind about the perm! After hair analysis I was explained all the pros and cons and in this case I would simply damage my hair for no good reason. I greatly appreciate the honesty even though the professionals could make money on it but I would be left with terrible results. I am coming back for a haircut though so in the end they did get two more loyal clients. Highly recommend this place and all the ladies whom we've met were amazing!
