Dimple's Bombay Talk is located in the heart of little India in Iselin Oak Tree road. This place in an institution as Indian version of New Jersey Diner, which has all vegetarian menu where you can get Indian classics of appetizers, sandwiches, dosa crepes, soups, Indo Chinese food, Indo Thai food, desserts and Indian true classics such as Pav Bhaji, Chole Bhature (a must try for first timers) to name a few. On this visit, I ordered: 1. Sweet corn soup: 3/5 - Soup was not freshly made as the broth was very thick, spicy, and overfilled with sweet corn kernels. I have had this previously, and it made it differently and tasted fresh, which this version was not. 2. Dhai Puri: 6/5 - classic indian appetizers of small crisp puri filled with choles, diced potatoes, tomatoes, and onions and filled with sweet and green chutney, yougurt, spices and topped with fresh, savory and crunchy Sev bites. The version I had today was excellent, fresh, and it was made with care. I finished the entire plate by myself, which was a first. 3. Vegetable Hakka Noddle: 5/5 - classic Indian street food dish made with wheat noodles, fresh vegetables of Julian bell peppers, carrots, onions, cabbage and springs onions. This all sauted in large wok with blend of indian and chineses spices and sauces. The version I had today with extra vegetables was made to prefection with crisp cruch of vegetables, great chew of noodles all was nicely seasoned. I added some extra vinegar and hot sauce to enchance the flavor and increase the spicy level to my taste. This is an Indian classic, that Bombay Talk makes very well. (This dish should not be greasy it has to have a balance of oil that needs to cook the vegetables and noodles and sauces) Overall, it was a great experience today as the restaurant was not busy with Diwali New Year celebrations and shopping outside. Try to come early before the peak of lunch and dinner start as food is made with more care as the cooks are not rushed. One item I would like ownership to focus on is the greasyness of place. Chairs, tables, walls, and menus have this layer of greasyness makes surface sticky. The restaurant is constantly cleaning after every guest on tables and are constantly cleaning the floor and bathroom. However, with heavy use of oils to cook, open kitchen and closeness to patrons, greasness gets everywhere. Just need to improve on this. Please visit this great family restaurant that has established itself as institution of Indian Food classics in New Jersey!

This place needs a big overhaul in terms of crowd management and proper execution of Covid precautions. This tiny restaurant, on a normal day, would’ve been a nice spot to eat your favorite meal and catch up with friends and family, but during this ongoing pandemic, the staff needs to do more to ensure the safety of the people dining in, and more so, their own safety. This restaurant is located street side with very limited parking. I had ordered take out from this place during a very rainy weekend and my experience was frustrating, and frankly, a little overwhelming. The place was operating at almost full capacity, the take out process was a mess as we were told to wait outside on the common area, which is a small place as you open the door but not inside the restaurant, and oh boy, the waiting was just soooo long. People were scrambling to be seated, and as I stood there, waiting for my take out order, more and more kept coming to get a table indoors. They had a few tables arranged outside but the rain just didn’t help this cause. All this being said, the food that I had ordered was amazing! I got - dry gobi manchurian, cutlet chat and chatpatti chat. The gobi manchurian was fantastic and had punchy flavor, the cutlet chat had a big cutlet as the base and chole (beans) as the topping which paired well and the charpatti chat had a blend of flavors which would entice your taste buds. Key takeaways- Limited parking, messy take out process, questionable Covid precautions in place with respect to indoor dining but, the food was YUM.

After a long time, ate at Dimple's Bombay Talk and here is my honest feedback:

Hakka Noodles Extravaganza: Embark on a journey of savory delights with each strand perfectly cooked, entwined with vibrant veggies, and bathed in the aromatic embrace of spices. It's not just a dish; it's a celebration of texture and taste that transports you straight to the bustling streets of Bombay.

Mysore Masala Dosa Magic: A crispy canvas painted with the rich hues of red chutney and filled with a spiced potato symphony. Every fold unleashes a burst of flavors, capturing the essence of South Indian culinary finesse.

Dahi Puri Delight: Indulge in the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy with this dish – delicate puris filled with a medley of spiced potatoes, sprouts, and crowned with a dollop of sweetened yogurt. It's a bite-sized explosion of joy that encapsulates the spirit of Indian street food.

Vegetable Cutlet Sandwich Symphony: This is a symphony of textures tucked between toasted bread slices. The spices and condiments elevate it to a flavor crescendo that's as comforting as it is delicious.

Beyond the delectable dishes, Dimple's Bombay Talk is a sensory journey. The aroma of spices, the vibrant colors of chutneys, and the warmth of the cozy space – it's an immersion into the heart of Bombay's culinary tapestry.
