What a terrible experience. I'm in my first trimester of pregnancy, and I can't keep anything down for the past two weeks. So I finally found this place and I've been able to eat the Italian night club if I swap the salami with turkey, and they've done it for me every time..without a hassle. I work clear in Albany and live in Woodburn, I had to come home early, I was to nauseated to work, and haven’t eaten since the night before, so around 130pm, i went through the drive through, and they absolutely refused to swap the meat, I said they've done it before, I told them it hasn’t been an issue before, I also mentioned I am pregnant, that I can't keep anything down, and I started to get emotional because I’m not only hungry, but I start to feel like I’m never going to be able to eat. The thought of salami makes me want to vomit, I started to cry, I asked for their names, so I could report it to management, and they wouldn't give me any names to report to management, the girl said rudely “I don’t have to give you my name” then I asked for a manager, and it was silent, so again I asked for names, if they had any names, she again told me she didn’t have to give it to me. At this moment I’m emotional, pregnant, and really disappointed in how I’m being treated, I have spent the past two weeks ordering the same sandwich from them, this how the youth treat people now days? Jeeeeez I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE if the woman with the crossed arms is someone “in charge” she was by far the worst. I can tell she’s never had morning sickness that lasts weeks on end…. and the harm in not eating can result me into the emergency room and harm the baby as well… Not to mention I’ve also worked in the service industry and it’s mandatory to give customer service, and it’s just basic humanity to make extra attempts to those who are elderly, younger children, and pregnant woman. This woman however lacked every attribute when it comes to customer service. All the other employees have been sweet to me until today, she by far was the worst. I also carry a dash cam if the owner wants to listen in on this employee and how she treats your customers.

Orders are often messed up, and freshness of ingredients is hit and miss. Had an issue with missing ingredient (avocado, $2 up charge here), tried following up 15 days ago with jimmy johns, got a canned response from corporate and crickets from the actual store. I had to follow up a second time since I heard nothing after two weeks and on the second follow up I was offered a $2 coupon that expires in 60 days to try my luck here again, no thanks. Would have preferred to have at least some bare minimum customer service that corrected the mistake instead, at least a refund since money was taken for product that was not given. With record inflation and prices here skyrocketing you’d think customer service would be a priority, but guess not. If you like roulette I say give this place a shot, close to 50/50 you’ll get what you ordered & the house always wins. Quick update: the method below is how I initially reached out before the google review. Another week has gone by and still crickets from the owner. I noticed googled gained a response in less than 24 hours. Kind of makes the google responses from the owner seem disingenuous. Disappointing.

I ordered a GIANT club Lulu with a cookie and a drink. What I got was the driver forgetting my drink, then when I asked about the size of the sandwich, she said I take what I am given. I called the store, spoke to the manager, I let her know the sandwich I received was a little John's, not a normal size, and not the giant I ordered. She said she made that sandwich herself and was not a little johns. Let her know that I do know the difference between the two sandwiches. Then she asked if I ate the sandwich, I said half as I'm hungry (its 330 pm) The manager told me to not eat the other half and she would have the driver bring me a 8 in. I asked why an 8 if I ordered a giant? I finally just said fine as I'm hungry and told her I wouldn't order from there again. The driver came back with my sandwich and looked at the one I was given and agreed, it was a little John, she then went out and got another half of my sandwich. Yes, they made it better, but due to poor management, I will not go to the Woodburn Jimmy Johns again, but the delivery driver was great!!

Employees lack any type of critical thinking and common sense. I ordered 3 sandwiches. 2 regular and 1 "Giant" sized. At the drive through window I asked for the Giant to be cut in 3 pieces instead of 2. She couldn't hear me so I repeated it. "Is it possible to cut the Giant into 3 pieces? We have 3 kids so we usually split a Giant into 3." Her response "OH you want it cut into 3 pieces instead of 2? Yes, we can cut it into 3 pieces."... This typically wouldn't be that big of a deal (it's just a sandwich), but when you're traveling and eating in the car with kids, it's not easy or possible to cut a sandwich. Wouldn't have been an issue if they just said "No", we would have ordered differently. But when we got our food there was only 4 sandwiches (meaning the Giant was cut into 2, not 3). So I bring it in and let them know I asked for it to be cut into 3 but they only cut it in 2. I reiterated that I confirmed with them multiple times and they previously said yes, they could do it. The employee at the counter said "So what do you want us to do? How do you want it cut?" I said "I don't know but I needed 3 pieces not 2." So she reluctantly takes it back and cuts each one in half. So now I have 4 pieces. She hands them back to me and I said "This is 4 pieces not 3." She quickly responds "Sorry we didn't hear you correctly through the drive through, have a nice day" and walked away. All of the other employees just stared at me not offering another solution or saying anything. Annoyed and not willing to deal with this anymore I just left. I figured since I confirmed multiple times in the drive through and at the window they'd just remake it or something and cut it right. But at the expense of losing a customer, they decided to pretty much say screw you. So I'm never going to this location again. Not that the employees care. This visit was Sunday 7/23/23 around 3pm. Employee was a girl with dark hair. This is the first "review" I've ever left, because I usually don't care. But this was especially annoying to deal with and was treated very poorly. Hopefully...

I'd like to share an experience that my mother and her friend had at this JJ location on Thursday, March 27th. They decided to head to Woodburn to do some shopping. Unfortunately, both my mom and her friend ended up in the ER days later. Our family has never had issues with JJ's Tuna Sandwiches. Our go to regular location is the Evergreen Parkway in Tanasbourne and she always orders tuna while I order different menu options time to time.

After the consumption of the sandwiches, my mom went to the ER in San Francisco Friday, March 28th (her and my sister traveling to California for school). I myself took my mom's friend to the ER on Saturday, March 30th here in Portland, Saint Vincent Providence on Barnes Road. We are aware of all my mother's allergies. Tuna and mayo are not on that list. We are also aware that my mom's friend has no allergies. They were both admitted due to intense hives around the body, anaphylactic like reactions with hives spreading along the mouth and blistering. The physician said that the sandwich may have been the source since no one around them was experiencing similar symptoms. Both symptoms are still being experienced.

The problem I had was that as a food chain is you did not provide or offer any sort of resolution for this. Instead tried to defend the process of how you prepped and served. You also stated that you would contact legal, yet never updated us on anything. We are aware of allergies & ingredients listed on the menu, but again, we are also aware of all of the allergies our mother and her friend have. I've owned a restaurant business for 8+ years. There is no excuse for providing a resolution for the customer. It would be different case if we were to stormed in there, be rude to staff and perform inexcusable behavior. They bought sandwiches, supported a business and left. Management & staff did nothing.

I will be contacting the Health Department regarding this so that if others experience a similar issue, they can become aware, say something and take action.

Thank you...
