I was in town today and stopped here in hopes that woodbury actually allowed a real authentic Mexican restraunt in and was underwhelmed. I walked in and the staff were busy so I waited for a while until I was able to order, but I needed time to look at the menu anyway. I ordered carne asada tacos and rice. They have real bottles of coke, soccer was playing and lengua was on the menu, these were all good signs. They were calling my order number but it was to loud to immediately hear, I had to grab my food over the shoulder of a woman ordering. The tortillas were corn, and warm. The asada was meat, it was slightly greasy. Plenty of cilantro was on the tacos. The rice looked perfect and was a decent portion. I went to get utensils there were radishes, limes and salsa. I ate two of the three tacos. The tacos weren't what I expected. The rice was hot, with a few salt packets it was edible and the green salsa didn't have much spice to it. The bottle of coke was 10/10. I don't think I would come back here, that's an honest review, I will continue to take the time to drive to La Taqueria Hacienda to get my tacos. Also beware walking out I was almost ran over by a woodbury housewife in her red prius. If you are looking for a place for authentic tasting and flavorful Mexican food this isn't the place. The reviews...
Read moreI was really excited for this place! It’s pretty new, and I did not enjoy it.
I recommend NOT trying to call in an order here. They don’t repeat the order back, so there’s no check to see if your order has the items you expect. If, like me, your order is missing 50% of the food you expected when you get home, the staff truly could NOT care less.
The person in front of me asked for change for a $10 bill, but the staff claimed it was a tip. It was super awkward for everyone who witnessed it.
Most kitchen staff were shouting order numbers when orders were up, but most customers didn’t know their order number as they opted not to get a receipt and/or cashier didn’t tell customers.
The quesabirra was not delightful. If you usually like this, I recommend going to Libre Taco instead. The other street tacos we ordered were fine. The shells are thicker than I expected. The street corn is confusing to order, and kind of underwhelming. Many restaurants use a few more spices; this is a very basic version.
The salsas were the best part of the meal! I really enjoyed the green and the...
Read moreStopped by for dinner. There weren't that many people inside but don't let that dissuade you from trying it out. It's fairly new to the area and maybe doesn't have the hype that other places do, but boy were we pleasantly surprised! My husband and I ordered the quesabirria tacos and torta cubano. We both really enjoyed our dishes. My quesabirria tacos were huge and loaded with meat. It also came with a big bowl of consume for dipping. We were both stuffed when we left and for the price? Even better! We will definitely be back to try out their other dishes. I saw they have $2 taco Tuesday and $7.99 burrito bowls on Wednesday (I think that's what I remember). Anyways, give them a try. You won't be...
