Most of the time there are really fast and helpful. However, every so often there is a day like yesterday (11/04/23)
I went to pick up a prescription for an ear infection that was called in the day before and they didn't have it said they would have it in a couple days. (No problem, not their fault) After I left, I talked with a friend and they recommended I call and ask if the CVS pharmacy could check others in the area and so I did, going through the phone menu and being put on hold to wait until I can talk to a person. I remained on hold for over an hour and then gave up.
Later I got a hold of a PA at the urgent care that prescribed the med and they agreed to change it to one that was more common and they said they contact me in an hour or so. After a couple hours I checked the CVS app and saw the med was still listed as the original, and attempted to call the pharmacy to ask if they had gotten the request to change it. I was on hold for 40 minutes. I then noticed an email from the provider that said they wee having a hard time getting a hold of a person at the pharmacy to make sure the next prescription would be something they had in stock.
So, to recount I was on hold for a total over almost two hours without being able to reach a live person and a provider was also unable to get ahold of a live person. I understand sometimes things are super busy and the workers are slammed, but there should be some method of letting people know that you won't be able to talk on the phone instead of just leaving...

In each situation, I had no other choice than to go there late, just before closing. In each situation there was some huge complicated factor (due to circumstances beyond their control). However, that did not stop them from trying every possible angle until they were finally able to get my family the medicine they needed. Even as a phone call extended after the closing time, they kept on task - determined to seek out solutions. Even though there were some high tensions and exasperation (coming from the customer) over the absurdity over a misunderstanding with insurance (again, not due to the pharmacy), their staff continued calmly, professionally, giving me all the time, attention and sincere understanding until a workable solution was found. It was stunning to observe. I am so grateful to...

My wife broke down crying because she is 7 months pregnant Not working and knows we can't afford that. While other companies like insurance and pharmaceutical were trying to profit before putting the life of my wife and unborn baby girl first. Luckily for us cvs pharmacy had an angel working there. Katie S. Was so understanding of our problem,she did everything in her power to get us a cheaper medication so we could get back to life without worrying about this. She deserves a huge promotion with a huge salary increase with no more added work except for maybe helping more customers like me and my wife. Even though we already picked out a name. We are feeling very persuaded to name our lil girl after Katie S. Thank you...
