Glad we discovered this hidden gem. It was 6:00pm on a Saturday night, all the restaurants on Main Street were 90 minutes or more of a wait. Searched on google maps for more places maybe we haven’t thought of going to, we come up every year and most weekends, so we know all the staples in the area. Then saw StrEatz, the food looked amazing, so I called them and there was no wait. Headed over and saw the signs for StrEatz, definitely wouldn’t have found the place just driving past. Rustic on the inside, and open area concept.
Our experience:
Staff was extremely nice, welcoming, and very helpful when ordering and navigating the menu and specials. Prices were all very reasonable(especially when compared to say wood stock inn and brewery). They have some games like Jenga and tic tac toe, the wait wasn’t long at all. When we got the food we were taken back at how amazing everything looked and the portions. There wasn’t a single item eaten that we all didn’t express how good it was. French fries were amazing! Quesadillas had so much flavor and tastes so fresh. Zucchini fries are a must! My brisket sandwich was to die for and my wife wouldn’t stop talking about her fried chicken sandwich.
Everything was top notch quality, clean, fresh, and had so much flavor.
I think we found our new place to go for lunch and dinner. Forget Main Street in North Woodstock! The food here is better than any restaurant down the street and certainly not as chaotic. We definitely recommend everyone try this place out!
Wish StrEatz all the success they have...
Read moreStreatz was suggested by a resort employee, and it was well worth the visit. If I lived in the area, I would go every week. This is a food truck in a permanent location amongst the trees with several tables hidden behind a fence. They closed at 7.30 and though we got there at 6.30, they were already running out of many dishes. Thankfully, they had what we wanted.
We got several items and every one of them were excellent. The box of fries for $4 were perfectly cooked and the quantity was enough for several meals. I got a pulled pork sandwich served on Texas toast with BBQ sauce that had a lot of meat, was very tasty and was well worth the $12 based on other restaurants in the area. My wife's tacos were filled to overflowing with chunks of meat and were $12 for three. We also got a side of Mac n cheese that was also in a box. They tasted homemade with a bit of a smoky flavor.
But in addition to the food were the husband and wife running the truck. They were very friendly, efficient and it is easy to see why this place is so popular. If you are in the area it is a must visit for lunch or dinner. But go early so you can get the...
Read moreAyuh! Call me Tom Peddy because I had spent the weekend with three heartbreakers! Me and the three other men and also two men who had read Snow Crash all put the HOSS in HOSSceola on a day fit for the soggy bottom boys. One man is betrothed so we had no choice but to get grimy when he said to, as is custom. We foodn’t, so came rippin and snortin into STREATZ JOINT lookin for a bite. This place has it all! Easy to get into, just walk around the fence (no door to pass through! My friend in Maine would love it here). All you can eat bug spray out front shows how much the folks at STREATZ care about our wellbeing! The five other men shared a whole mess o food and friends they needed to feed an army because we wound up playing war games all night. I do not partake of eating flesh so had falafel and corn. The betrothed man had a funny joke about falafel that he had heard before!! If you find yourself in Thornton New Hampshire and want Popeyes but don’t find one then stop at STREATZ and you won’t be...
