The Banner Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Worcester

Gotta say that my dining companion and I had a terrific experience dining at The Banner Bar and Grille on Green Street in Worcester this evening prior to going to the Hanover Theatre.

We walked in around 6:45 p.m. and the place was jam-packed, but we managed to find a table near the windows.

I ordered a Guinness stout and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich, while my companion opted for a bowl of chili and a glass of water. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures.

The waitstaff was professional, efficient, and pleasant. Our meals were up in no time.

The food was delicious, and as expected.

My companion added on an order of onion rings later on, and they were brought swiftly and hot to our table.

As we had to rush off to our concert, my companion went up to the bar and asked for the check. The check-out was immediate.

There was Celtic music playing in the background and a wonderful sense of celebration of all things Irish.

10/10 would go again...including on St....

My wife and I wanted to grab a quick meal prior to a Woosox game and Banner was the place we decided on as it was just right outside the gate. The place was busy and the staff was doing a great job making sure everyone was getting great service. We were able to get a couple seats at the bar and immediately had menus and were asked what we would like for drinks. We placed an order for a burger w/side of tots and a turkey club w/regular fries. All we cooked to order and tasted terrific. When our glasses were empty the first staff member that walked by asked if we needed a refill...terrific food and service. We will...

Stop padding the lines! Don't keep people standing outside when you can see empty spaces in there.

Also, do something about your music. It's not very diverse, I understand majority of your crowd is white but doesn't mean your music should be too. Introduce some afro beats, and I bet you, everyone will love it.

I had take a star away, but I think that would be harsh since you truly set a standard for the best place in Worcester to have a good time.

Lastly, can you stop closing at 1, the night is still...
