Went here with my girlfriend for dinner. We sat at the bar and had a wonderful bartender. He was extremely attentive and friendly.
We ordered a lot of food. Here are my review for what we ordered.
The nachos were awesome. We got steak as the meat on them. I've always liked when tortilla chip are thicker rather than thin and this place had them like that. The nachos were topped with a lot of meat, guac, sauce, and cheese. Great dish. I would recommend.
Elote was out of this freaking world. I lived in Panama for a couple months a few years ago and I loved the Elote down there. I haven't been able to find anything this as good in America. Well, tonight at Taqueria Del Pueblo I found the best Elote I have ever had. This is a must try.
We got one Birria and one Al Pastor taco. The meat was to die for. It was so juicy and flavorful. You can tell that this restaurant cares about the food that they serve. The food served is very high quality.
We also the Carnitas Tortas which I have never had something like that before. Its like a panini with extremely good bread stuffed with carnitas. That was a show stopper and absolutely amazing. I wish I ordered two.
Okay, I know we ordered a lot but we had to get desert.
We got the strawberry cheesecake. It was an absolute delight. I loved how the plate was garnished with chocolate covered strawberries. Yum!
The bar had a great selection as well. I had a Tecate, Corona, and Dos Equis beer bottled. They have almost every Mexican beer available as well as your classic american lagers.
They had a huge variety of margaritas which I didn't get to try but they sounded lovely.
The food was very affordable and overall was an exceptional dining experience.
I would recommend this place to anyone. Also the decor is awesome! I love the paintings on the wall.
I will be back...
Read moreAbout eight months ago, I left a very unhappy review of this restaurant. Back then, I had been a loyal customer for three years, visiting alone or with friends a couple of times per month, but I felt unwelcome—especially dining alone. Service hours were inconvenient, and I often left disappointed despite loving the food.
I’m happy to say that my experience over the last two months has been completely different. The changes are remarkable! The restaurant now opens daily from 12 p.m. (instead of 4 p.m.) which makes it a perfect lunch spot. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels warm again.
There are exciting new specials—especially taco deals that are a great value—and many new menu items. I used to stick only to tacos, but now I’ve discovered that their carne asada and chicken plates are delicious, their fajitas are amazing, and they’ve even introduced pupusas, which I can’t wait to try.
By chatting with one of the servers, I learned that the management has recently changed—and it shows. The place is cleaner, better organized, and even small details like paper napkins on every table make a big difference (especially for juicy, flavorful Mexican food).
I’m truly happy to see my favorite Taqueria return to the quality and spirit I fell in love with back in 2021. Thank you to the new management and team—you’re doing a fantastic...
Read moreNot sure what happened to this place. Until today I loved it. I can understand a bad night at a restaurant. But everything about going there today was horrendous. We were there 20 minutes before a waiter even came to take a drink order from us. When we first got there, the restaurant was fairly empty, and as we were sitting there, the restaurant started to fill up. The most disturbing thing was the fact that we saw people get out of the car, sit down, place an order and get the order before we got just an appetizer. The waiter gave us our sodas touching a straw that was not wrapped in paper and placing it in the drink. Crazy! Not to mention, he gave us a soda that didn’t even have ice in it at room temp. We complained to the manager, and she told us the kitchen was backed up. Apparently that was only with our order because everyone else got food. When our appetizer finally showed up, so didn’t the entrée not 30 seconds later. This is after the waiter kept telling us our nachos were on the way over and over again. When we finally got our entrées, the food was nowhere near what it used to be. Absolutely flavorless. The food didn’t even look the same. We only took a few bites out of our food before we asked for the bill. So much time went by the same people we saw get out of the cars and order food left the restaurant before we did. All we ordered was...
