My experience with WCAC was/ is great. I found out about the S.M.A.R.T program for challenged youths at a crucial time for my son. It had been particularly hard for me because I have taught prevention, accountability, routine and structure with my children since an early age. The systematic failers and juvenile laws are tough to interrupt problematic behaviors. I am a person who works in behavioral health and i believe in my work both professionally and personally. It was a major issue for me to be dismissed, minomized & disregarded by the school departments, law enforcement, judicial systems and department of children families. The system is broken, SMART program case manager Colleen sets herself apart from everyone I have dealt with on all fronts. Colleen practiced compassion, advocacy, support and respect. Colleen doesn't take what someone says and accept it. Colleen asks the questions that need to be asked. My favorite saying "make that make since" thanks so much. That's truly amazing how WCAC can help so many people. Be patient with them can you imagine how many calls they receive in a day?.. They have helped me through a fire and other things. Thank you! I'm so happy to see they have resiliency center that teaches other important skills in life, I didn't realize they had all. Definitely going to look into, would be wonderful! It's such a great service too our area, Worcester county and beyond I'm not sure the areas but I know it's Worcester and beyond I'm not sure of the exact areas but I know they include Worcester county. amazingly nice , kind people who do not judge or make you feel in the least bit uncomfortable In the midst of crisis! Sometimes you need help that's good to know they're here. WCAC. Also it really makes you think of the little things we all could do for one another helping one another or volunteering etc if able to. Jess, Karen, Skylar and the rest have helped us with fuel assistance, a new furnace, electricity discount and hopefully more. I do suggest asking questions and keeping on top of things. Their records were way out of date and I had difficulties updating them. Once things were updated though things were taken care of rather quickly, like a new working furnace before a deep freeze. Sharon helped us get the most out of the assistance we got before it expired this year. Kylie has assisted us with getting the home energy assessment . Soogin performed the assessment. We got some led lights, smart power strip, fridge thermometer, some crawlspace and attic insulation, and new insulated dryer vent ductwork and vent. More stuff is available if...
