B J Mc Mahon's — Restaurant in Worth Township

I highly recommend BJ McMahons for all Sports enthusiasts. This is a cozy, inviting place with a uniquely decorated Ceiling during the Christmas Season for friends to meet to watch Sports and have excellent Bar Food. I have gone here regularly with members of my Basketball Group after we play for about 16 years and have never been disappointed by the attentive Waitresses and friendly, engaging, knowledgeable sports history banter exchanged with their Bartenders. The Bar Food is a bit pricey but it the taste of the items is clearly superior to any other Bar Foods served at other places that I have been to in the South Suburbs. I particularly like the grilled Ham & Cheese Sandwich. They give you an extremely generous portion of Ham for the price. The big Burgers are delicious as well and have outstanding ground beef quality. The tasty Steak Fries are served in a generous proportion and are the most reasonable-priced item on the Menu. The Chili available about 8 months out of the year is also outstanding. The Chicken Fingers are the only item on the menu that I have eaten here that have occasionally been a bit disappointing. The Juke Box has an amazing collection of 60's through current Songs and Songs can be chosen using a Cellphone Android or Apple Application. For about 15 years, they did carry Black Cherry Mike's Hard Lemonade which was my favorite drink in the past but it is now conspicuously absent from the Cooler now. Maybe I was the only Customer who asked for it and they decided not to carry it anymore as the demand was obviously down during the initial stages of Covid? The Domestic Beers such as Coors Light, Miller Genuine Draft and Miller High Life are always served Ice Cold at the perfect temperature and are typically priced at $3.75 apiece which is competitive for the neighborhood. The have a nice variety of Beers on Tap- including Summer Shanty and other popular Seasonal Beers. The always jovial and friendly Owners Roger and his Wife Dawn are excellent Business people who have helped build this enduring staple of the Oak Lawn community to thrive and flourish over the years. 4/1/23 Bj's Continues to be our go to place for Friday nights. The atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly. The food continues to be great.

8/12/22: after a year and a half from our first time visiting BJ's we must say that service has never been lacking. Megan and Blake continue to provide excellent service and never dissapooint. This family own and run establishment is top notch and all other places are hard pressed to keep up with BJ's. Food quality and flavor is very consistent as usual. Please, if you havn't visited this place you need to be mad at yourself and make time to come on out and join us. You feel like family as soon as you walk through the front door.

6/4/21 was our 3rd visit to BJ's and we have yet to be dissapointed. Megan was our waitress the 2nd and 3rd time and she is the best. Despite working the whole restaurant by herself, we were never lacking anything. She kept coming back to check on us no matter how busy she was. Thank you very much Megan, we will be back.

Today was our first time to visit this establishment and we were not disappointed. We ordered a variety of food from the wings, mini tacos to the Ruben. Everything tasted great and we will be back just because of the food.

The other thing that will keep us coming back is the customer service. We sat at the bar and Blake was our bartender. He kept on top of everything and never let us run out of anything. Blake always had a smile on his face and he made us feel like we were one of his regular customers eventhough this was our first time.

I've been coming here for 20 years, the owner Rodger and his family are great people and all the staff are fantastic as well. You always get a great value for your dollar when you come here. The draft beer is cold and tasty and they have a good selection on tap. The hidden gem herr is the food; the burgers are Amazing, 1/2 or 3/4 pnd options. Cooked on the grill the way you like it with whatever toppings you choose. Pattymelts , steak sandwich and fried bologna sandwich are also amazing.. And of course you need an order of Cajun fries (basket sized). Check them out you won't regret it. Overall great atmosphere.. My favorite local pub. Always a nice variety of people and ages in here.
