The chicharron taco was great, as well as the horchata. So I will miss that. Our server was ok, she overcharged us for something and I didn’t see it until after I paid which was annoying but didn’t feel the need to bring it up because I was done at that point. Just prior to seeing this I had asked for a refill on an horchata and as I tried to hand her my cup to refill it she said it was okay she would get it and proceeded to grab a new cup and charged me $4 for another drink. I told her I just wanted a refill like I stated previously, she then said they didn’t do that and I told her I didn’t want it anymore and she rolled her eyes and put the cup back. It may seem like something small but those 2 things were disingenuous to me and appear that they try to get over on customers if they don’t speak up and I don’t like to do business with places like that. The atmosphere had such a high bleach and onion smell that my eyes were constantly watering while I was eating and I’ve never experienced that in a restaurant....
Read moreFood used to be good. This was at one point my go to place at night in the Oak Lawn area. Recently the food has been sub-par. Ordered two Tortas de Milanesa (Breaded Mex Sandwich), one chicken and the other steak (extra avocado on both). We also ordered a side of fries to go with our Tortas. The Tortas had a bit of a fishy taste to them. My wife's Torta (Chicken) had a stronger fishy taste to it. Upon further inspection, the chicken was undercooked. Not sure what made both Tortas taste fishy, but it was not pleasant. To top things off, the total price on this order was $28.53. The price we paid for those 3 items plus the extra avocado in the Tortas, is ridiculous now that I think about it. Mind you, we were so hungry that we paid no attention to the price up until the moment we...
Read moreTacos are OK at best, but the Credit Card shenanigans are ridiculous. The total cost of two steak tacos and two chicken tacos with cilantro and cheese was $16 something. I was like, okay. Pandemic Prices. I then gave her my debit card and I was charged $17 something. I figured it was a credit card fee. Nowadays, a lot of spots charge the customer to accept YOUR debit or credit card. I digress. NOW I look at my bank statement to see that they have added a TIP of $3 dollars. IT WAS CARRY OUT FOR 4 TACOS!!! So I've now spent $20.50!!! This wasn't Uber Eats nor DoorDash. I was AT THE RESTAURANT! It's cool. $20 bucks isn't going to break me; it's just the principle. Won't be back. Much better spots near my house off of South...
