Great American Bagel Inc — Restaurant in Worth Township

I came to this location today to eat breakfast with Fiancé. He chose to come here because it was his birthday. When I placed my order I got an Italian trio on Asiago. I asked for it to toasted assuming it was going to be warmed. When I received my food and it was cold. My fiancé went up to an older woman with white short hair who was working the register and told her it was cold and if they could reheat it. Another kind woman said she would remake it. I’m not one to complain about food but when you get something and you expect it to be warm you should get your food warmed. The older woman he originally went up to was helping someone and me and my fiancé were sitting at a table and I said I felt bad that they had to remake it but that I can’t eat a cold sandwich that should be warmed and she over heard and yelled across the restaurant and said “it was toasted” mind you we weren’t speaking to her we were speaking to each other. My fiancé replied “then why was the sandwich cold” and she didn’t respond. She then continued to talk about this issue with the other employees while my fiancé and I were sitting there listening to her speak. So when I finally received my food it was so uncomfortable eating because of everything she was saying. It was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Hello to anyone that's about to read this review please understand that I am a huge fan of this establishment I absolutely feel like I'm family whenever I visit for starters I'm greeted as soon as I walk in the front door by the whole entire staff I have never caught anyone having a bad day and if so they don't direct it towards their customers I never have to wait very long for my order and the staff engages in conversation with you while you wait for your order and let's just get to what I like to order when I'm there I always get the lox and bagel but I have to ask them to take the cream cheese off because I am lactose intolerant so I can't have any dairy but after I place my order for a open face lox & bagel and I always get an apple juice nine times out of 10 when I get back to my vehicle I've already eaten the first piece of my sandwich it's just that good and I'm upset when I get home and by that time I've eaten the other half so it's just something that you have to try yourself does smoke salmon the raw onions the capers just really makes my palate happy as soon as I open up the bag the Aromas is what do it for me and The Taste it's so amazing while I'm writing this review actually I'm in the mood for one right now so make sure you get it yourself over to Great American...

The level of customer service at this location has gone down in the last year and it’s sad. My mom and I used to come here 3-4 times a week last summer and fall for our bagels and everyone used to be so nice. Lately, and especially today, it’s proven that they don’t care about how they treat their customers. The last 4 times I’ve been served by the young man with black hair and glasses, and every time he’s been excessively rude and dismissive. Today my mom asked him if they were going to make more chocolate chip bagels because they were out, and it was only 9:30, and she was told “We’re out for the day and won’t make more” then went back to gossiping with the other workers before asking us if we wanted to try a different flavor. When we asked one of the older workers if any more were going to be made, we got told it would be an hour and to come back for fresh ones.
