Well, we have been coming here for awhile but the last few months the service has been getting worse and our orders have been wrong. The younger lady that has taken over the front counter continues to get our orders wrong and is extremely rude. When I returned one of the meals tonight because it was wrong, she told me we should have spoken up and maybe we would get the right order. Our drink had no ice in it as well, after she asked us multiple times if we wanted ice. She said all she could do was refund us for the one meal because we paid in cash. I said well that doesn’t help us and now all the other food is cold. She said it was our own fault for not eating it when we got it. Also, since we took a drink of the horchata, she couldn’t refund it. Most drinks you have to take a sip to realize if it’s right, so I’m not sure how that makes sense. Just extremely poor customer service. They brought our food back out and put it on the table. At this point we didn’t trust eating it. So we paid almost $40 and walked out with a $8 refund and no food. We were told that they can make up whatever policy they want in terms of refunds. They don’t have to offer receipts or post their business policies. It’s at the businesses discretion. I’m assuming since she said if we paid in card it would be different, that they would have had to refund us the whole thing, but cash they only had to refund one item-they push the rules to make it work the...
Read moreI have edited this review from a 5 star down to a 1 star. Didn't want to do it, but when I drop 25 bucks for a burrito and 3 tacos, I expect much much better. This review is for Jalisco on 108th and Cicero in Oak Lawn. Excellent burritos but....you have to catch them on a good day. I have been eating here for many years. The past 2 years however, something changed with the meat they use. Lately more often than not, the steak in their burritos and tacos are riddled with chunks of cartilage and large fat nodules. Not very appetizing when you bite into a burrito and have to spit chunks of cartilage and fat out. It's equivalent to getting chicken bones in chicken salad. It's a shame because I once rated this as one of the best places to get a burrito and tacos in the SW burbs. Sorry Jalisco, I'm on a quest for a new burrito joint. Also, a close friend said that this is going on at the Jalisco on 119th and Cicero as well. The meat quality went from great to poor. Bigger slap in the face is that the prices have gone up significantly too....so now we get horrible meat at both locations and have to may more to get...
Read morePrinciple is everything. Why support a business that doesn't do right by their customers? They have a hand written sign that if they mess up on your order, they will credit you. That's a lie. I was told that my credit was getting my original order fixed (+ the wasted gas and time). I used to be a loyal customer until they got my order wrong and refused to make things right. They "fixed" my issue by having me drive back, with the incorrect order while part of my original order sat at home and got cold. Any legitimate business will compensate the customer for their mistakes, this business holds you accountable for their mistakes. My loyalty died tonight and I will have to go all the way down the street or across the street for a new Mexican restaurant. Hope this post saves you some time and...
