My boyfriend and I dined in here a few weeks ago. The food was delicious, and the service was wonderful.
Food: We started off with pink lemonade. It was solid. We then ordered a thin sausage pizza + a stuffed pepperoni pizza. We were told wait time would be about 20-30 mins depending on the pizza. The wait time was worth it, and reasonable too. The thin pizza was pretty good. The crust wasn't burned but not soggy either. It was a flaky, crispy crust with sweet sauce. The stuffed pizza was even better in my opinion! It was so delicious. I like the little detail of the pizza having pepperonis in the crust too. It was also not burned nor soggy – just right! The dough for both the thin and stuffed pizza was fairly easy to bite into. I want to also highlight the dessert; We got cannoli. The shell was crispy and sweet. It didn't crumble but it wasn't hard either. The sweet cream filling wasn't overpowering but wasn't plain either. I like that it had some chocolate chips in there too. I didn't even know Joe's had dessert, so I really wanted to highlight this. Overall, the food was made with a great balance. It had a nice presentation too.
Service: I didn't catch her name, but the waiter was patient and kind. She checked up on us here and there. Prior to getting a table, I didn't have to wait too long to be seated. This was my first time at this place, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The delivery guy Jim was welcoming too. Everyone at Joe's seemed familiar with each other in some way, adding to the comfortable service and atmosphere.
Atmosphere: Like the service, it was welcoming and comfortable. Although it's a small place, it's not overcrowded as people can get by the chairs and tables easily. The room temperature was comfortable too.
Overall great experience. I'm happy to revisit this place with...
Read moreI have been going to "The Villa" since they had their original location in Bridgeview. Went there on a Monday night because I wanted some good Italian food. Unfortunately, my expectations were too high. My son ordered pizza. My wife spaghetti. And, I ordered a chicken parmesan for myself. At 1st, all seemed to be going well. Food showed up. Presentation was good. The spaghetti did not have enough sauce, so my wife asked for extra. The waitress had no problem SAYING she would bring more. However, she did not come back to our table for quite some time. So long in fact, my wife finished the spaghetti before the waitress remembered to come check on us. Then, the waitress admitted she forgot to bring us the extra sauce. At this point, we all were just about finished. We asked for our drinks to be refilled. Now. I am finishing up with my meal, and I find a pea in the sauce. I write it off as a mistake from a cook, and continued eating. A minute later, I find a kidney bean in my sauce. This is unacceptable. How can someone in the kitchen be so lazy as not to keep the kitchen clean enough to separate soup from fresh made food is beyond my comprehension. What else isn't clean here? I'm afraid...
Read moreI ordered a Jumbo pizza with multiple ingredients a few years ago for New years Eve and the middle of the pizza was under cooked, raw dough and alI. I called in & the owner said he would give a credit for a free pizza next time we ordered and did not give a time limit. The only reason I didn't reorder sooner is because it was a very large pizza and was waiting for the right amount of people to be over to consume it. I stopped in for lunch last year & spoke with him in person about the credit again & he wrote my name down & said he would still honor when I was ready. I called today for to order a pizza on my credit & he said because it's been so long & he can't find my name written in his log, so the best he can do is give me a pizza for half the price. I questioned his offer so he raised his voice and hung up on me. I understand it's an old credit but had I known of a time limit I would have ordered something else from the menu sooner. The pizza was expensive and should have been cooked properly in the...
