If you want to be yelled at then this is the place for you. I had just sat down to eat after waiting 15 minutes for my food when a worker came over to my table. I did not notice her right away because I was looking out the window while eating along with having my headphones in. As I turn around to take another bite of my food, I notice the worker. She seemed really mad and was now yelling. I took my headphones out as she was saying "You need to move your car!". I asked why and she said that someone wanted to park there. There wasn't anyone in the restaurant at the time so I found it odd. I told her no and she got madder. "If you don't move your car (which was in a totally legal parking space) or else I am calling the police." I told her to go for it and she froze.vshe kept repeating herself and I finally had it. I told her that I needed my money back. She said no so I told her I was calling corporate. I would get more from them anyways and I was going to tell them all about how rude this lady was. She got a scared look on her face and walked away with my tray. I followed her and she talked about me the entire time she was refunding my money. I took the receipt and then told her I was calling corporate anyway.
This lady does not deserve her job is this is how she treats people. Funny thing is the guy ended up parking...
Read moreJust awful customer service here. I placed the order on the app, then the app seemed to crash (DownDetector seemed to say there was a nationwide problem). When I arrived at McDonald's to pick up this mobile order, I was unable to open the app to say I had arrived. It was just a loading screen. So I had to bring my kids inside and try to speak to someone about the order. My card was charged. I had a confirmation email. But the "manager" said the restaurant hadn't received the order. I showed him the email with my check-in code, and he said since the restaurant hadn't received the order, there was "nothing he could do" and that I "had to contact the app." I said, "You mean the app that's broken and won't let me access anything or press any buttons?" He said yes. I said how was I supposed to do that? He said go on the website. I said my kids and I are here, right now, paid for food, and you're saying you can't do anything? He said yes. I said can't you just give me the food I ordered? He said no. I said then you've lost a customer for good. And he said "OK." Whatever happened to "the customer is always right"? Whatever happened to making the customer happy? I guess McDonald's "customer service" is just "blame the app" and "you're out of luck." Keep my 12 bucks. I'm...
Read moreI recently swung by the McDonald's in Palos Heights, and to be honest, it's getting a two-star rating from me. The biggest issue was the snail-paced service, and let's not even get started on some of the female staff members who had major attitude problems. They were constantly yelling and screaming at each other, which made the whole place feel like a chaotic circus.
But wait, it gets better. They also seemed to have a secret code of silence when it came to letting customers know when their food was actually ready for pickup. It was like playing a guessing game, and let me tell you, I didn't win.
Now, onto the burgers. Oh boy, inconsistency is the name of the game here. Specifically, the sauce situation was out of control. They were way too heavy-handed with the ketchup, turning the whole thing into a soggy mess that was far from appetizing. I like my burgers saucy, but this was a bit much.
I really hope the folks in charge take note of these issues and do something about it. Speed things up, get the staff to chill out, and for the love of all that's delicious, figure out how to evenly distribute the sauces. Until then, I'll be thinking twice before making another pit stop...
