SurfBerry Cafe — Restaurant in Wrightsville Beach

Surfberry is this little gem on Causeway Dr., just after passing over the bridge into Wrightsville Beach. I was hungry, but not starving, and wanted to enjoy something fresh and clean that would set well on my stomach this afternoon.

FOOD: The Mermaid Pitaya Bowl with added Coconut and Mangoes. The Mermaid bowl included a chilled Pitaya puree buried under a heap of fresh fruit. Mangoes, strawberries, coconut and bananas all artistically situated on the top. Add that drizzled honey to the mix and you have a tropical explosion in your mouth. The natural juices of each fruit, creates a symphony inside the small pond of dragonfruit. So amazingly clean and good!! SCORE: 5 STARS!!

SERVICE: Since this was my first time visiting, I kept an open mind with no certain expectations. After placing my order at the juice bar, it took approximately 10 minutes to receive my bowl. $12 & 10 minutes is an acceptable time & value if you are served something incredible. Surf Berry came through. The service was very good and each staff member was friendly and accomodating. The young barista who initially took my order was a newer-hire and immediately sought advice from another teammate about what to recommend, once I asked for their suggestion. The other young lady assisted swiftly and was able to find a solution that defined teamwork. 5 STARS!!

OVERALL SCORE: These flavors are wild all together, giving you that taste of a tropical paradise. Nothing canned, everything prepared fresh by the baristas just behind the juice bar and delivered up as if it's being presented at the Cameron Art Museum. Whether you're visiting from out of town or a local, as I am...be sure to treat yourself to one of SurfBerry's beach...

We rented paddle boards for the day through Surfberry and what a great experience! They called the day before we were scheduled, because the weather looked stormy and rescheduled us for the next day, which was really thoughtful! They day of, they brought a few different size life jackets to fit my son and dropped off the paddle boards, paddles and life jackets at the public Right of Way for us. Then they picked up the boards for us at the end of the day. I brought the paddles home with me, just to deter anyone else borrowing the boards before they were picked up and the guy came and got that from me, no problem. No complaints from him I did that and he had to make two stops. Really really enjoyed our day on the boards too. The equipment was perfect and loved having the life jackets. The current is killer on the ICW as the wind picks up in the afternoon but mornings are the stuff dreams are made of. :)

I rented a Foam surfboard here and had an excellent experience from start to finish. $15 per day, you can't beat that! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I had such a good experience after day one of teaching my 10 year old nephew to surf i extended the rental for two extra days. I simply texted the shop i wanted to keep the board and they charged the card they had for me on file. It really couldn't have been any easier.

Also while in the water i saw their crew of trainers teaching kids surf and body boarding lessons. As an experienced trainer myself i can say that they were doing a great job! It looked like everyone was having a lot of fun and they took extensive measures to make sure everyone was super safe.
