Went for Father's Day, will NEVER, EVER, EVER, E V E R return!
Went at dinner time, it was Sunday, a "holiday", etc. Once our table was finally ready (a little over an hour), we were notified and seated fairly quickly.
Sat down, and waitress immediately gave menus and took drink order for 6 of us, received our drinks within a few minutes.
My lucky day, a chunk of plastic floating in my cup- maybe a piece from the ice maker? Our waitress apologized, brought another drink.
Were brought bread order and serving plates. Plates had old food remnants on them. We also had dried up food on a majority of our silverware - visible FOOD BITS in between tines of forks, dried up bits of food on knives, needed 4 out of 6 replacement settings of silverware!
The replacements were even worse! We stopped asking for anymore silverware and ended up barely able to split up the clean silverware to have clean utensils for each person to eat, but it was whatever.
Then, we realized our cups were "textured". Can you guess why?? Yep - dried up food bits on the outside of 3 out of 6 cups. I'm imagining probably dirty inside as well - just absolutely disgusting!!
Than came the food - ugh...
2 people got French onion soup. Neither one thought it was great. My daughter said it was EXTREMELY salty and didn't feel well after eating it.
3 of us ordered the 6 oz steak and shrimp. One med/well, one well and I ordered mine "super, extra, well done" (sorry, don't judge). When they were brought out - the server mixed up 2 of the plates even though we told her which one was for who. Only 2 of the 3 dishes had garlic butter with the shrimp, and they forgot the premium side of Mac and cheese (which was brought later when we finally realized). So 2 people were very unhappy with the cook of their steak because one was over and the other under due to the mix up of their plates!?!
...and me? While the steak wasn't SUPER cooked, there was no pink, so I was actually happy with it! I was happy that my baked potato wasn't grossly/heavily salted on the outside like most steakhouses and was actually edible! I'm pretty picky - and I was actually happy with the cook of the steak and the potato - and i was lucky to receive the butter with my shrimp.
My husband and son-in-law each ordered the 12oz steaks. My husband had to waste about HALF of his because it was just all fat. The other was okay, but both not cooked properly/as requested.
The last order was for salmon and shrimp. No major complaints except for that it was very plain and underseasoned, but no garlic butter with her shrimp either. She had her side of French fries (which are pretty hard to screw up), so...?
After eating, my daughter wasn't feeling well and we ended up using the restroom to wash hands and such. The bathroom here was absolutely filthy. My daughter was still feeling sick from the soup and ended up throwing up. Funny how her meal ended up pretty much where it belonged in the first place...?!?
Between the filthy silverware, gross and gritty cups and my daughter actually getting sick - i would NEVER recommend this place and will NEVER go back! I will be sure to mention to everyone and anyone my experience and let them know this place should be avoided at all costs!! I'd recommend Outback over this filthy establishment (and i absolutely HATE Outback)!
This was $200 LITERALLY flushed down the toilet. I can see this place receiving MULTIPLE health violations for being so disgustingly dirty and i should actually go so far as to report them myself! Hope someone reads this and advises them to buy a working freaking dishwasher, or to fire the person who pretends to wash their dishes. My 5 year old niece could do a better job...
I've never been so disgusted in my life with the cleanliness of a place I've been to, and I've been to some weird places! This place is just gross, utterly filthy and flat out disgusting!
...still tipped the server decently as none of this was her fault. Hey, she tried - kept dropping off dirty silverware, nasty napkins and those...
Read moreThis is my 5th time at this particular restaurant location. The food is always spot on. The service however I’ve noticed a pattern. My first time at this location, it was myself and my father whom went and we had phenomenal service, Our drinks were refilled before they were empty anytime that we asked for something it was brought immediately, and we were checked in with Throughout our entire meal multiple times. My father who worked in restaurant service for the majority of his life, even pulled the manager aside and said it was one of the best services he ever received.
The second time I went, I brought my children ages 12, 11 & 3. We were met with a server that was nonexistent. Our drinks had one round and were not refilled the entire time. We had asked for another round of bread and it was never brought. we asked for a refill on the ranch for the shrimp appetizer. It was never brought. There was an issue with one of the steaks, and it was not fixed until we were ready to leave so my 12 year-old son didn’t even really get to eat. I chalked that up to a bad night.
The third and fourth time I went was with a group of friends and again our service was phenomenal just like when I first went with my father.
Tonight My fifth trip to this restaurant. I brought my children for my daughter‘s birthday. upon entering It was not very busy at al. We were immediately seated and we notified the server that it was my daughter‘s birthday She had a big birthday pin on the front of her shirt. expecting there to be either a comped dessert or another option for her. We were served by Jesus. He checked in with us a few times, but anytime that I spoke it felt as though he was not listening. More that he was rushing to get away. On multiple occasions, I would be still be speaking as he was walking away from the table. We asked him for another round of bread, It did not show up. we asked him for refills on drinks and it took over 20 minutes to receive them, By the time he returned, we needed more refills because my children drink all of mine, and I never received my refill. When it came to dessert, my daughter ordered a strawberry shortcake. Upon asking what their policy was for birthdays, I was told either a comped dessert or a chocolate sundae. He began walking away again, as I stated, my daughter does not like chocolate he just kept walking. After packing up all of our food, I received our bill with no comped dessert and then told that she could receive a chocolate sundae. Again, I stated that she does not like chocolate he gave no other options. He was not very welcoming, and his demeanor seemed as though he just wanted to leave.
I believe that there are some prejudice about people that show up with children to this location because this is the second time that I have had not the best service when with my children. I am a little disappointed by my experience tonight considering it was my daughter‘s 12th birthday, and she chose this place because she loves their food. Spending $154 on dinner. I still left a $25 tip even though every part of me did not believe that my service was worth $25. Leaving anything less felt like it would’ve been proving the server right- maybe his prejudice against people with children is because those don’t typically tip? The sad part is I would’ve tipped way more. Had our experience been better. Please teach servers that not everyone with children won’t tip properly, And that the next time I show up if this happens again with my children, I will leave a zero dollar tip with a note. It’s really...
Read moreMade a reservation for my Dad's birthday, we arrived about 5 minutes early for the reservation, but stood and waited a half hour to sit. For a reservation!!! Many parties were seated before us... I guess they had reservations as well? We were a party of 6.5 on Saturday, sure, but we made the reservation for 330 in the middle of the afternoon and were seated at 4PM. We ordered our appetizers and drinks immediately, then waited 15 minutes before they came out. One of our two appetizers was cold (spinach dip). We were finally able to order our entrées at 25 after. So, if you've read this far, we are almost an hour into my father's birthday celebration and have just ordered entrées at (now) 430 on a Saturday for a reasonably sized party and are enjoying (using the term loosely) barely acceptable appetizers. At no point were we offered an explanation or apology for the delay.
I ordered a Caesar salad without croutons with my entrée, which came out at a reasonable time... WITH croutons. It was immediately rectified, but at this point it's safe to say the entire party is annoyed. When my steak frites came out AT 452 (after everyone else had their meals for a solid 2-3 minutes), it came out well done. I ordered mine medium... And my parmesan frites were soggy... And are exactly French fries with no variance other than what they called them on the menu. Frites I've had in the past at other establishments were very thin and crisp. I promise I'm not looking for things to complain about. At this point, I'm just reporting my experience. And I'm so completely nonplussed by it so far that I'm writing this in the restaurant as it's happening.
My wife's loaded baked potato wasn't very 'loaded,' and they didn't include sour cream, when two others at the table had loaded baked potatoes that did. So, consistency is an issue. In fairness, she reported that her Napa Grilled Chicken was very good and flavorful.
My father's Tbone meal was reported to be 'excellent.' So, one thing was right!
My eldest brother was unimpressed by the salmon. Neither the fish, nor the marinade were anything special, and his sweet potato was overloaded on cinnamon.
My sister enjoyed her parmesan encrusted chicken, but was unimpressed with her loaded baked potato.
My youngest brother had the prime house burger, and he reported it to be good.
My unsweetened iced tea was also never refilled, despite being empty for the last 15 minutes before we received the check... While I can't say the wait staff didn't try, and I can't say it wasn't busy (especially for the time of day), they were unenthisiastic and I heard at least one other table complaining throughout their service.
TL;DR So, in all, our experience--between a terrible wait with reservation, some really unimpressive meals, inconsistencies with food preparation, and disinterest from the staff--left a lot to...
