I wish they had a place like this in every town. First off the food is very very good. Everything is very clean too. Most of their meals are $10 but they have a $3 menu where you get a sandwich a side and a drink. If you cant afford $3 they will still feed you. They even have a deal to donate a half hour of your time and get a full meal. Seems like they do a lot for the community. Im not in wytheville often but from now on anytime Im here I'll be eating at open door cafe❤️ $3 meal in picture below chicken patty sandwhich is tender and crispy

This is like no restaurant I have encountered before. Patrons pay a recommended price if they can. If you don't have the money, you can pay whatever you can OR volunteer to work for an hour. The restaurant also works within the community to have meal tokens distributed to the needy to "pay" for a meal. Food comes from local farmers and volunteers staff the restaurant. Each day has a different meal and they even have a vegetarian option. Everyone was SO friendly and the food was tasty and plentiful. I wish every community could have a...

The food is very good but some of the people are very rude. We have made donations to the facility and when we due to an accident at work needed the help some of the people there treated us like we were an inconvenience. This really needs to be addressed. We had to confront the manager about it and he was very friendly and helpful. That being said the rudeness still continues. If the people in question do not like what they are doing for their community then maybe they should quit and let someone a little more caring and understanding have...
