This was a surprisingly good and unexpected find. I am traveling and staying at a hotel up the hill, so I figured I'd get something here after being on the road all day. I didn't look up the place beforehand, I went in totally blind, but ended up being blown away with a great meal at a reasonable price with great service.
I forget the name of the dish, it was chicken, shrimp, steak, with mixed veggies, rice, and cheese. The dish was great, with a good mix of meats and veggies with a great flavor. Good portion size too, especially considering it was only $13.
The service is great here too, the waitress was very on top of things, and everything was rapid fast, we walked in, ordered, ate, and left in like 45 minutes and that was with me needing more time to review the menu.
They appear to be taking Covid safety seriously, all the staff are masked, they have directional traffic to get in and out of the dining room, and they are using paper menus.
I look forward to stopping in again...
Read moreThis place has multiple issues. It is grungy looking, and in need of a deep cleaning and remodeling. Lighting in the booths is super bright; you expect someone to read you your rights or pull out a rubber hose.
Margaritas had very low alcohol content. The salsa served with the chips tasted like ketchup with a drop of hot sauce...the WORST SALSA we've ever had in a Mexican restaurant.
The entrees were not good...my wife had fajitas which were inedible. The beef was an odd, grayish color...tough, chewy, tasteless. The chicken in the fajitas was super dry and tasteless. If someone told you this dish was prepared last week, you'd believe it. She ate one bite and gave up. That probably saved her life.
My steak vallarta was better, but it was a very thin steak. I'd guess the took a T-bone steak and filleted it several times. Our side of rice was pasty, cardboard like.
Prices are cheap, but you received low quality for your money.
This was the worst Mexican restaurant we've...
Read moreBased upon the reviews rating we visited on a Sunday afternoon. Food was good, service was such that I left no tip. If the staff will read this to him and tell him how to wait tables, he could make some money. It should serve as a tip. We were not visited at our table once the food was delivered. We ran out of chips and salsa, the chips were replenished after asking for them when the food was delivered. The salsa, in plain sight empty at that time, was not refilled. My wife's drink (water with lemon) was refilled by her. We related our poor service to the cashier, who was apparently accustomed to such reports based upon his reaction. My advice: don't stop there. If it happens enough and enough folks respond, the issue will correct itself. Either the adjustments will be made or no adjustment will ultimately be necessary. We were...
