The owner said they just opened a month and a half ago! The menu is limited on options but to be honest that felt less overwhelming. We got the spring rolls (basic, good veggie texture and taste, nice sauce), pad thai with tofu (huge portion, good flavor), red curry with tofu (good flavor, bamboo was a little fibrous and tough), and mango sticky rice (good sticky rice, mango had ok flavor but was out of season and a little crisp - obviously not the fault of the restaurant though, but maybe they could swap out for something else and just have this item be seasonal). Most everything else on the menu but the fried rice had meat. This is personal preference, but the tofu is just in big blocks, aka not fried. I would've liked them to either be fried, or cut into smaller chunks. The inside is pretty unseasoned - although combined with the strong flavors of the noodles/curry it wasn't too bad. I just am not a fan of places that sub tofu as the only vegetarian option and do not put much effort into it. :( The dishes felt expensive at first (the pad thai was almost $20) but the portions are so big that is easily split between 2-3 people - we had a lot...
Read moreI absolutely love Thai food, and having visited Thailand, I've felt heartbroken that much of the American Thai food I've encountered doesn't come close to the authentic flavors I experienced there. The U.S. versions are often overly sweet or salty, whereas Thai food in Thailand focuses on fresh ingredients and perfectly balanced flavors - I understand the challenges of sourcing authentic ingredients in the States. But THIS PLACE truly stands out. It's one of the best Thai meals I've had in the U.S. It felt like someone cooked with genuine care and attention, not just by adding sugar, but by creating something that felt like homemade comfort food.
Having lived in bigger cities like San Francisco and New York, I can confidently say this place ranks among my top Thai restaurants in the country. Their portions are enormous, making it perfect for family-style dining with a group of friends.
Thank you for creating such an amazing and...
Read moreGreat little place with excellent service. We ordered the shrimp with Thai basil over rice and spring rolls. The main dish was good. The shrimp were nicely cooked and the tails removed. Lots of basil which was awesome and the egg was perfect. There was a sauce that soaked into the rice which was tasty but I still wanted more. Tons of rice and decorative cucumber which I appreciate but I wish there were a greater variety of veggies instead of just rice. The menu description was accurate so I cannot be too disappointed. If your priority is lots of shrimp over lots of rice, this is a great deal. Spring rolls were average but a nice side for the meal. The sauce in the ramikin is SUPER salty and I wasn't really sure what to do with it. I would eat here again but it is not the best I've ever had. Lots of things closed on a Monday in Yakima so this is a...
