Outstanding experience with great appreciation for the ambiance with incredible food with two helpings at the buffet of the broccoli cheese soup. I dine out a lot. I'm an old man. Way back in the day when I was a kid growing up service was conducted in such a way that no matter what the employee was bringing to work that day they put it behind them. They were there to work and provide a service. This was a mindset in the day where the customer was always right. I never agreed with that but that mindset itself tells you of the utmost importance of satisfying a guest. Well that day is long gone. Occasionally I have great service but rarely due to the demise of what has happened to the workforce post pandemic. My server today Jenna was extraordinary. If every other server in the industry were like her maybe their tips would increase tenfold. I walked and right at 2:00 not knowing they had a buffet and that was the end of time but Jenna extended it. She told me what was left and it was most sufficient. I walked past the buffet to the restroom and I noticed about seven slices of pepperoni pizza. Upon my return a couple had just walked away from the buffet and there was one slice left. LOL minutes later there was an entire pizza because Jenna and formed the kitchen that it might be best to make another one. I was blown away at her thoughtfulness. Eventually she asked if it would be okay to break down the salad bar. Can you believe an employee would ask a guest if it would be okay. I said of course. She continued to let the hot food sit there and she did not rush me at all as well as the 12 top that came in at around 2:30. They ordered individual meals. She handled everything like a pro. I am writing this review first and foremost to call attention to her service and I hope she receives acknowledgment from her supervisors and the ownership. I am moving to town so I will be back. Thank you Jenna and the...
Read moreDecent pizza, but when they renovated the interior, they didn't touch what should have been a centerpiece, the pizza buffet, leaving it in a corner, with a salad bar, leaving untouched one of the weirdest buffet layouts. If you go with a group, like we have, you end up standing in sort of a line in the middle of the dining area, right in front of the entrance to another room in which the bathrooms are.
The salad bar is basic to a fault, with individual containers for dressing, unlabeled, like you'd grab if you were taking out. The fixings, themselves, for a salad are truly utility first, with so little to choose from, that it ends up being filler, not a meal choice.
Now, all of that would be merely quirky, if not for the fact that I've gone for lunch (like I said, the pizza is decent) and found that they didn't have pizza out yet. So much for a pizza buffet that makes for a quick lunch option.
They do offer to make whatever pizza you want off of their menu, for the buffet, but (again) as quickly as they can make it, there's a wait.
They also seem to be understaffed most of the time, which wouldn't be a problem if all you did was go to the buffet, but when you want to leave, you have to actively try to get somebody to bring you a check... There's no obvious register to go to, to pay. I'd suggest that they collect, up front for the buffet, and then leave you alone (which they're already doing to their detriment).
Maybe this location doesn't do enough business to merit changes to make it a more pleasant experience, but it's the longtime home of Aubree's expanding chain of restaurants... This should be where they show what the Aubree's vision for a neighborhood bar/pizza joint is, as a model for other locations. It ends up looking tired, in the way Kmarts looked before being shut down, despite having been recently "updated" with paint and fixtures.
It's...
Read moreThe first time I went, I was attended to relatively quickly and honestly it was the best pizza I’d ever had (the crust is flavored pretty heavily for my taste but I just wiped some off with a napkin and it wasn’t an issue). I don’t usually order dessert when I go out places because more often than not it’s nothing to get excited about, but the pizza and the service were both great so I decided to try the cinnamon bread, and wow was it worth it. Looked and tasted different than anything I’ve ever tried and I wish other places would copy it. It tastes better and it’s not too sweet for my teeth which a lot of those types of things are. I came back the next day with a couple people and had to wait 30 minutes to get a table because there was only 1 server working at the time, which I understand especially right now there might not be enough employees to stay sufficiently staffed all the time, but the day before there had to of been like 5 or 6 people working as opposed to 2, maybe 3. Regardless, we ordered pizza, cheese bread, a burger, & more cinnamon bread after ofc (10/10 fully recommend). The burger was what you expect from a burger, nothing bad to say but it wasn’t over the top. The cheese bread was a little greasier than we’d hoped and the pizza didn’t have near as many toppings as it did the day before. I don’t wanna be “that guy” that’s like “hey could you make sure you put enough toppings on my pizza this time cause last time it was a little light” obviously, no one does. But I’d also love to be able to come back and enjoy your food as much as I did the first time, every time. Overall their place seemed very clean, everyone I dealt with gave great service and I look forward to coming back to try more. Slightly pricey, but from what I’ve had I’d say it’s been worth the...
