Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in Yuba City

I rarely if ever write reviews but this just made me so mad.

I called in a pizza that has bacon on it and 6 twists. When I went to pay I'm informed that 6 twist only come with one ranch and that I would need to pay for additional. The manager said this was new. One cup is not enough for 6 twist and it's always been 2.. that said, I added 4 more and paid for it... I should have asked for how much it would be cost cause she charged $3.48 for four 2oz cups of dressing. I waited for the pizza to be ready and while I waited, I watched the lady in the kitchen grab the entire container of bacon from the make table and walk behind the area where they cut the pizzas, have a conversation with whom I can only guess was the manager and out she comes with my pizza. I open the box to look and sure enough, they added the bacon on top of the pizza. While I know the bacon is precooked, no one should be handing out pizzas with cold bacon on it for a number of reasons... when I called her on it, she said, "what do u want me to do about it?" I asked to have the pizza remade. When that pizza was ready, she showed it to me and said, "sorry u thought ur topping was uncooked," WHAT? So now I'm the crazy one? My dad owns several Round Tables, I would never complain cause I know what its like to work in that industry after working there for 8yrs... I could make those pizzas in my sleep and know exactly what I saw. She should have let me know what the issue was and given me the option of what I wanted to have done. One option being that they could have cooked the bacon on foil and then put it on the pizza, not tell me I didn't see what I saw.

Update 11/08 - Round Table's Area Mgr. contacted me directly with an apology and a gracious response to the complaint I had made to the company's corporate office following the below incident. She redeemed her company's reputation by showing concern, and addressed the incident in a professional and very satisfactory manner. Ordered one XL specialty pizza ($50+) at 5:30 pm online. Pizza should have arrived by 6:40 pm. 7:00 pm called the store, and was told the driver was delayed due to an accident (not involving the delivery driver). I waited another 20 minutes and called again. Was told driver had been delayed but was "back at the store" and would deliver my pizza soon. Called again at 7:45 pm and was immediately put on hold without anyone even answering the phone. Called right back...same scenario. Called right back and was asked if i would hold - I said no, I've been holding. Spoke with the manager (in reality she is only a shift manager) who told me the driver was still stuck behind accident (untrue). I told her I had been waiting since 6:40 pm for my order, and the least they could have done was to call and let me know when to expect my delivery. She snapped back that she would refund my order and deliver my pizza too and asked me if that was enough. I said an apology would have been nice. Her response - " THAT I will not give you". 8: 17 pm my pizza arrived. Very nice delivery person. Note - I live 2 miles...

I stopped in for lunch because I was working close by.

I couldn't complain about this place if I wanted to. I didn't wait in line very long, there was one person ahead of me. I ordered the lunch buffet, which comes with a drink, and salad bar for $11.31, which seems a tad bit high for the area.

The pizza buffet was well stocked with plenty of fresh pizza choices and was well managed. I used to manage a pizza joint so I can recognize a well managed place. They never ran out of pizza and had a good rotation of products. The salad bar was also well stocked and clean.

They serve Pepsi products with about 9 different selections plus they serve fresh brewed iced tea, which gets an extra star from me. All their restaurants should serve fresh brewed iced tea. I've never met an iced tea lover who likes that fake tea that comes out of the fountain.

The place was clean and all the employees friendly. The music level was fine. They have 6 TVs so watching the game here is not a problem.

I read some bad reviews about this place but I don't see any problems. Maybe they're under new management or perhaps they just got their act together. Either way I suggest that you give this place another try. I was impressed and plan to return again.
