IHOP — Restaurant in Yuma

I went to this IHOP with some friends of mine while they were back in town. We've been stopping by this particular IHOP for years now, since high school. It's open 24 hours and we inevitably get hungry at 2am when visiting. On this particular day we went in at about 10am and it was busy. The building had apparently been updated relatively recently too. The booths and decor were noticeably newer and there was a faint air of new building smell.

Anyways, despite the morning rush we were seated quickly. The booth we sat at was clean, though it suffered from the same issue as every other diner I have ever been too. No matter how clean it looks there always seems to be some lingering stickiness. Probably just comes with the territory when you work with syrup. The food selection on the menus was great. I don't remember if the menus had changed drastically but that particular morning everything on the menu sounded amazing. I had a hard time choosing. Again, despite the crowds the service was pretty prompt and the food came out quickly. I ended up getting something with French Toast and I had no complaints.

The waitress serving us was very friendly and even stopped to chat with us toward the end as we were wrapping up our meal. The short version is I had no complaints and the food was satisfying. IHOP is a chain so it's hard to judge the merits of the food when it has been so heavily standardized. That said, the food was well-made and delicious. All I can really speak to was the service, which was pleasant and competent, and the building, which was comfortable and had the shiny veneer of newness. This IHOP is reliably good and friendly, that's why my friends and I keep stopping by after...

First the table was dirty and they offered to clean it which gee whiz that's a unique idea but they wiped all of the food off the table on the floor

Then there was a fork on the floor that we noticed after we had already seated

When the food finally and I mean finally arrived it was cold cold and more cold

If we would have sent it back we probably would have had to have waited another 35 or 40 minutes to get it so we just ate it

As far as the service was concerned was never the check to see if we wanted more coffee or water until the food finally arrived

We will both honestly say this is the worst service we've had here and it was surprising because generally IHOP is very good

PS wife loves boysenberry bring it back

Pss adding a final note that we asked for the bill and because it wasn't printed the waitress had to go have it printed l

we've now waited at the time of this review 10 minutes for a Bill to be printed

why IHOP why ?

Ps server never returned with our change as we paid cash ... That is called thrift

You must allow their too ..

Never will return to...

Disappointed very much by service of our server & others we tried to get help from & was even told they would by the time she came to give us our bill & we had never even been offered coffee refills or checked on if things were ok did we want something else etc etc I NEVER GOT SILVERWARE TO EAT W/ !!! HONESTLY! server was genuinely apologetic hectic busy service is not an excuse in my book these circumstances are to be expected as well is some delays in service but not to this extent!!! Server did her best to make up for it sent my boyfriend out w/a complete reorder to go even on our coffees but I was so mad I was in the truck I gave it to our dogs later I was displeased this is the normal pace of this place...get it together others including management should have been working the floor offering a little help but even seating is done a certain way so not to overload 1 server etc etc but we even asked another server for SILVERWARE 2 of them actually 1 of them twice she actually said yeah sure ok then moved & darted off as if to go right away for it NEVER...
