Well, this is a sad review because we had been coming here off and on for years before covid closed everything down. It was a great place to get a good meal at a fair price. Now that everything has been reopening up we decided to go back and check it out. We have went at various times of the day and a couple different days of the week. Weve been there now about 5 times in the past couple months. ( I wanted to give them a fair break before reviewing them As it is I'd give them now a 2 1/2 stars if that was possible) Weve been there usually any time between noon and 4:00. During the week and once on a Saturday The salad bar is still really good. Nice selection of things to choose. Yummy. Now the sad part, if you're wanting fresh cooked food, you may want to rethink it. A lot of the food you can tell has been sitting there for some time. I also believe that they are also serving chicken and other meats and things that are reheats. Dry chicken every time weve been. Im not only basing my suspicions on tasting the actual food but also as my experience as a commercial cook with 30 yrs in the industry. We keep hoping things will improve. Hate to give up what was once our favorite place to eat, and to be fair if it does improve I'll be back on here updating my review. Times are different now days and things are tough, especially in this industry. I really hope we dont lose this business. It was great once. It can be again.❤ Update, very sad. We tried coming one final time. It's now the time of yr snow birds are here so I was hoping with more people coming they would become a bit more proficient than in past visits. This time we came right when they opened at 10am. Fully expecting fresh cooked, hot food. Wrong. Much of the food was reheats with quite a few dishes not even up to safe temps. Chicken dry. Sweet potato dish luke warm with marshmallows burnt and crunchy on top, you figure that one out. There was a constant beeping going on from the kitchen that you could hear, even over the loud playing background music. In my professional experience, this beeping sounded just like the sound of a commercial dishwash machine when it runs out of soap. Later I went to get a dish for some ice cream to discover the dish had cooked on cheese all over it. Was my suspicions correct? Any way so sad to say after this visit that it will be our last. My hope is they can turn this establishment around before they drive it into the ground. Included is a picture of the burnt, Luke warm sweet...
Read moreI have met some people who say they do not like Golden Corral, when I asked them why, all those who do not like this restaurant bring up two reasons.
One, the floors are untidy as a result of the food frenzy .. Well the primary reason for that is the restaurant is a family restaurant and kids .. As well as some adults .. drop their food on the floor and the adults are too lazy to clean up after themselves or their kids. People need to cut this restaurant some slack, the staff work hard and are constantly trying to keep up with the high volume of guest turnover. If there is a table or area that is unkept and is bothersome to you ... Speak up ... Say something to a server and they will address the issue. Don't simply judge the entire restaurant or all their staff. Even though it is an all you can eat buffet ... Some people overload their plates, leave half their food behind then go back for more ... simple laziness .. Nothing more too lazy to take smaller portions and if still hungry .. Go back for more.
The second reason is they do not like the food offerings for the regular buffet .. Even though they have never eaten there except for the breakfast buffet. How can one possibly judge the quality of the food if they have never eaten the food offered in the afternoon or dinner times .. ludicrous judgements. The maximum price of $15 per person is a steal for a buffet where the food is prepared fresh on premises and is an "all you can eat" buffet and seniors get a discount.
All I can tell you is ALL of their food offerings are freshly made in-house, except for for the ice cream and the apple pie. They have literally 150 food items to offer patrons with a wide variety salad bar, fruit, Mexican fare, a wide variety of vegetables including creamy mashed potatoes, steamed brocolli, steamed cauliflower, corn, cheese sauce, a wide array of proteins including pot roast, chicken including fried chicken, fish, shrimp, sausage, steak and more ... The list goes on and on.
Bottom line, great food, huge variety to choose from and great value...
Read moreWent to this Golden Corral today (July 09,2018) and to be completely honest, customer service was amazing definitely nothing like all my other Golden Corral experiences. I’d definitely recommend going to a friend the only real noticeable downsides are (1) the men’s restrooms smelt like pure pee and the floor was very sticky. (2) The prices. Other than that this Golden Corral is amazing. One of the main reasons why I am giving you all 5/5 starts is simply because I witnessed a woman having a emotional moment and a manager (didn’t catch his name) was sitting right next to her, giving her the support she needed, he was able to come to a conclusion and give her what she needed. Definitely a lot of emotional support in this location but bear in mind this isn’t a therapist office. Another factor into the 5/5 stars is, our waiter (Angel) was AMAZING with customer service, I mean whenever we needed him he was right there he was just incredible. In conclusion this location is amazing and I would definitely recommend to a friend
Keep up the...
