Today, Sandie and I had the pleasure of dining at "The Green Between Cafe," located at:
38201 10th Avenue, Zephyrhills, FL 33542 Phone: 813-780-7777 Hours: Monday to Saturday - 11 AM - 8 PM Price Range: $10 - $20
This quaint café has a minimalist interior but boasts a diverse menu filled with delicious options and generous portions. They offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery through popular apps like DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats.
While most dishes are prepared in-house, some items are sourced from external vendors. They also have a separate dinner menu featuring spaghetti, fettuccine, meatloaf, and pork chops, although I don't have the specifics on those.
I opted for the Steak & Cheese sandwich, paired with a side of regular French fries and a drink. The sandwich featured thinly sliced rib-eye, mayonnaise, provolone cheese, and sautéed onions, along with added peppers and mushrooms. The rib-eye was abundant and tender, complemented by a generous layer of gooey, flavorful cheese, all encased in a fresh, crusty roll. The French fries were perfectly crispy, lightly seasoned, and a great accompaniment to the meal.
Sandie chose the meatball sandwich, served with onion rings and a honey mustard dipping sauce, plus a drink. She raved about the in-house made meatballs, which were fresh and delicious, generously topped with mozzarella and rich sauce. The onion rings were crispy with a light breading, and the dipping sauce had a nice creamy texture that paired wonderfully with them. She was so satisfied with her meal that she took half of her sandwich and a few onion rings home!
We found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable, providing clear descriptions of the menu items. With our total bill coming to $30 for both of us, we felt the prices were very reasonable. The only downside was the limited parking, which may pose a challenge for those choosing to dine in, although it shouldn’t be much of an issue for takeout.
All in all, Sandie and I enjoyed our experience at The Green Between Cafe and would love to return to sample some of their...
Read moreI had the appetizer sampler... loaded potatoes, hot racks, and country fried steak bites. The hot racks are basically creamy jalapeño balls and absolutely delicious. The country fried steak bites were crunchy and the gravy was super tasty. The loaded potatoes were great but I got full.
I also had the steak and cheese. Idk what they put on their fries but they were so crispy and salty. The sandwich was good but it had too much bread and not enough meat and cheese. It reminded me more of a French dip than a steak and cheese.
4/5 stars because service wasn't the best. Food took too long despite there only being 5 people in the building. I think there was only one cook and one person working the bar. Overall, the food was great for...
Read moreSaw a post on fb asking for good lunch places to go. Someone from this place posted about their lunch. Today I stopped by to check it out. I ordered a dinner special, chicken, beef kabob and a choice of sides. I was offered to have a chicken and beef kabob. I chose mash potatoes and broccoli for a side. The meats were juicy and tender, not alwsys the case on a kabob. Also, flavorable! Onions and peppers on the kabob were the right kind of crunch. They were not mushy. The same with the broccoli, a nice fresh crunch. The mash was great, real potatoes with a nice chicken gravy. The service was great, friendly, thoughtful and warm. Wait time was very reasonable. I will definitely...
