DO NOT EAT HERE. The Flying Chicken is a total scam disguised as a family-owned “local gem.”
I just visited this place with my friend and we left so genuinely pissed off that we had to sit in the car in silence for a second to process what just happened. First of all, the guy who runs the place was literally outside messing with his motorcycle as we pulled up. Not just hanging out — elbows-deep in grease, no gloves, no apron, no professionalism whatsoever. Then he walks right in behind us like it’s casual, goes behind the counter, and (I’m praying I’m wrong) proceeds to make our food. Zero sign that he washed his hands.
The food? Absolutely not. The chicken tenders were these mutant, grotesquely oversized chunks of meat that looked like they were raised in a lab by scientists who hate joy. They weren’t even crispy — just dense, fatty, chewy blocks that made me feel like I was cutting into a raw steak. You don’t bite into these tenders, you wrestle with them. And the fries? Total afterthought. Limp, flavorless, ice cold within five minutes, and coated in enough salt to cause kidney failure.
It felt like we were being punked. Like someone dared them to see how bad they could make a meal before someone said something. The whole place felt off — like they opened just to say they opened, without a single thought about quality, service, or basic hygiene. This isn’t just a bad meal. It’s the kind of experience that ruins your appetite for the rest of the day and makes you question how this place even got a food license. Flying Chicken? More like Crashing Disaster....
Read moreFlavor of the chicken is great. But the breading just slides right off making it very hard, and messy to eat. You don't really want piping hot chicken slipping and sliding around. Not sure why it doesn't stick to the chicken. Happened on both orders. Didn't love this happening.
We both got the 3 piece tenders. Huge! You definitely get your moneys worth of food! I got the parmesan chicken and hubby got the regular. I didn't really taste much difference. I got regular fries, he got parm. The parm are definitely better. Fries could be cooked longer.
We got a side of coleslaw to try. I actually loved it. I'm super picky about coleslaw and don't like many. But loved theirs. We got the mac and cheese bites as well. Very good. The regular ones do have jalapeño and are a bit spicy. I didn't see that on the menu. Not to say it's not listed. Just keep that in mind.
For 2 orders of 3 tenders and fries, a mac and cheese bites, and coleslaw, it was 48.00. Not too bad. They gave us a free brownie as well. They forgot our coleslaw so hubby had to go back.
Keep in mind you cannot pick up in drive though. The drive though is for pizza only. It's the same building, but not same...
Read moreAMAZING FOOD!!! AMAZING EMPLOYEE!!!! THE 👏🏾 BEST 👏🏾 CHIKEN 👏🏾 EXPERIENCE 👏🏾 IN 👏🏾 ZHILLS 👏🏾 I was weirded out the tenders come in a two piece, typically it's 3 piece for the smallest however the tenders here are MASSIVE!!! Juicy and delicious. My husband has the original tenders with Cajun fries while I had the original sandwich with garlic fries. I can tell they used a garlic oil for the them cause they werent as crisp as my husband's they were still so good. I'll go with Cajun next time tho. So much food neither of us could finish. Got free brownies. The brownies are also SO SO SO good. They have a crisp top and are gooey in the center with full chocolate...
