This was by far the worst experience we've had during our whole Uzbekistan trip. Since the very beginning we practically had to beg for someone to even look to our table, although there were 8 waiters! Two of us got our food at the right time while 1 of us had to repeat the order 3 times since each time it got sent to the kitchen it got rejected about 20 min. later because of missing ingredients. My father ended up eating his meal 1 hour after I had finished mine and after 3 failed orders. We can understand some issues such as misscommunication between kitchen and waiters, but what we can't understand is feeling ignored and abandoned by the waiters the whole time. Whenever our "assigned" waiter was not available and we needed to ask for napkins or the check, for example, most of the other waiters intentionally ignored us and looked the other way to avoid dealing with our table, since it was not "theirs". I've never felt such treatment in my entire life. Please Ayvon do something to improve...
Read moreWe arrived by the morning flight from Tashkent and after visiting some places we faced this Ayvon Khiva restaurant on our way. The exterior looked beautiful that grabbed our attention, so we went in. The interior was even more beautiful and we really liked it inside. They took us on the 2nd floor and And we got our sits. We ordered 3 salads, 5 soups, and local cuisine dishes like fried cheburek for each of us, 2 portion sets of ravioli with (pumpkin, meat, greens, egg), 2 sets of shivit oshi (green noodles with potato and beef) very beautiful for picture but doubtful in terms of the meal, we also had 2 pots of tea. Total we paid around 64usd. We ordered too much as we could not finish all of it. But we enjoyed our time here as we had a good rest there. The location is inside Ichan Qala and it...
Read moreAnother restaurant thats nice on the decor, but with very mediocre food.
We went for lunch, just 2 ppl, the restaurant was not full, after 15min waiter announced that a dish was sold out. So of course we got everything delayed, first some sides, than a very sad looking sashlik. After I was finished eating my partner got his meal.
I explicitly asked for the sashlik to be made without cumin, the waiter assured me they don't cook with cumin. What did the sashlik have on? You guessed it cumin.
Also somebody was repairing a big window while we were there, hammering like a mad man. And don't get ne started on the 15% added service charge - a joke honestly. Needless to say, we...
