Cafe Kheivak — Restaurant in Khiva

We ate here twice - for lunch and dinner and both times the service was excellent and the food really tasty Uzbek food. We were a family of four so tried a number of different dishes. The kebabs was cooked beautifully- tender and delicately charred. The soups - a clear broth with little pasta parcels filled with meat - similar to Italian Brodo- were very good. We had a range of salads too and they were beautiful prepared and flavourful.

The atmosphere was charming too and there were a good number of guests. I think the lower reviews here must have been from a while ago because from our experience the restaurant offering was memorable and our favourite place to eat in...

I was hanging around Itchan Qala in search of coffee and came up to this place justcoz it had Lavazza add on the wall. Ok asked if they have coffee and they confirmed. I ordered double espresso and baklava. The double espresso looked like Americano as you can see. And the baklava was rather different from others I had taste before, actually this was mu1st time I had this kind of baklava. The places looks very well so that’s why we felt in the trap and went there for lunch. Food was average, we had soup and stuffed potatoes. Stuff potatoes came with some vegetables next to it that looked like from the can. Anyway, the big surprise was at the end when we were charged 25000 for one bread. Bread was good, it was also fresh from the oven, however 25000 is way too much for it. Of course the waiters were so chaotic busy that we couldn’t ask. I would just go there...
