The place is even nice, located on three floors, with a rooftop with view on the southern part of the old city, not the best part and with residential houses around. There are however some refurbishment making many surfaces covered of dust ( the table glass was clean but the bottom surface where you could but a book or the women’s bag) was extremely dirty. However, for sure they will solve. More unpleasant is the absolutely lack of understanding of English that in city like khiva is a problem: we asked 1 Manti and 1 shashliq each (we were 2 people) and we received only one to share… very expensive even the bill: 1 manti (6 pieces), 1 shashliq, 4 beers and 1 bread 220.000 Sums, with beers quoted 30.000 each bottle of 66 cl…. The highest prices I met in all Uzbekistan from Tashkent to Samarcand to Bukhara. The bill was made on a piece of paper and not from a official machine, the idea that this could have been a tourist price leave us some doubts…. Quality of food? Good and tasty. So: you can choose this for your lunch and dinner, maybe pay attention on prices and take a Russian or Uzbek translator with you if you want to eat what...

The tables on the side of the street were not that clean, however, I’ve learned not really to care about this that much in Uzbekistan. The prices were however ridiculous. Better go to Sultan, it’s close, looks fancy on the photos, is a newer restaurant, also not ‘cheap’ but much more affordable than this one, also a...
Read moreFood is neither good nor bad. Quality and volume were okay, but the prices which does not include a 15% surcharge are roughly the same as other places within the city walls which have better service and food quality.
The view is great though, and there are plenty of options for seats with nice views!
We passed by the place more than a few times from our hotel to the cebter of Itchan-kala but it was also quite empty.
When we paid, they didn’t accept credit cards - only allowed...
