OK. So I was considering either 1 star or 2 stars. I went with 2, and I'll explain below, starting from good to bad.
Food was medicore, the quality of ingredients were OK, the portion and flavour was decent, however nothing close to 4 stars, barely 3 stars.
Atmosphere was weird. The place was empty when we came in. The music was loud disco/techno-trance (very weird and not indian mood at all), barely trace of any indian mood in the interior. As we were the only customers, we asked to tune down the weird music taste (helped after wnd attempt), and also asked whether they could play indian instead, nodding but no change at all. As I said, Weird.
Prices. Too high for the quality and atmosphere. Should be some 35% below in average. Ended up paying 360k UZB for 2 portion of chicken dishes and bread and plain rice. Considering I can eat full with pure lamb meat for 2 portions for almost the half price in this country. Also, was not expecting 20% service fee, when the service girl had absolutely no clue what the menu was, or anything in the menu. To whom and for what reason did I pay 60k UZB exactly? Can get 3 skewers of lamb sheesh that knocks down what I just ate in terms of quality in the same city. Also, I did tell the owner that 20% is agressive upon payment, he barely took it serious and still charged it.
Worse thing was, as it is with many other indian restaurants; cleanliness is very very bad. The plate and cutlery felt dirty/oily. They definitely did not wash it with a washing machine. It felt oily, and we felt the need to "clean it" all using napkins. And even the napkin set had black spots on it (no idea what it was), so I had to dig down to 4th, 5th napkin to get more clean ones.
Conclusion: I feel robbed in a dirty place with bad atmosphere and service. If I had to rank it price quality wise, I would've given the place 1 star. But due to the medicore food and decent portions (not considering price) I end up with 2...

Read moreDecided to dine here for lunch after reading the good reviews. Ambience was decent but what left me seriously disappointed was their service and attitude towards the customer.
I requested for the non-veg thali and was told their tandoor was broken, so they dont have the tandoori roti available, only the laccha paratha (part of thali).
I said no worries and asked them to check if they can substitute the tandoori roti for dal makhani (part of their veg thali).
The server after checking for 5 mins came back and now said that the laccha paratha is also not available, only tawa roti is. I said no worries, give me 2 tawa roti instead of 4 (as I cant eat this much) and checked if the dal makhani can be provided. The server said yes it can and I confirmed the order.
In next 2 mins, the server comes again and now suddenly says the dal makhani cannot be provided and needs to be ordered separately because it is part of the veg thali.
At this point, I really got frustrated due to constant changes and confusion. You can charge the same amount for providing tawa roti instead of tandoori roti and laccha paratha but cannot give one small bowl of dal makhani? The thali was already around 150K Som (before service charges) and now I need to order that separately?
And then when I said I leave now, the manager came and started arguing that I had only been waiting for 5 minutes.
Their food might be good based on reviews but this experience has left me utterly disappointed. Anyways, wish you...
