Socials Cafe Shevchenko — Restaurant in Tashkent

The breakfast here is delicious - including strong coffee, fresh fruits, friendly staff, nice overall ambiente and easy to spot location.

I'd love to give it a 5/5, but once we had our coffee, the rest of our order seemed to have been forgotten. After roughly 30-45 mins, one of the staff asked if everything's ok, to which I could only reply by "basically yes, but it would be even better with the breakfast we're still waiting for". I could literally see the moment when he realized the mistake, and, although we didn't hear any apologies, we we're lucky owners of two delicious breakfasts not long after.

To be fair, I would clearly recommend this place to anyone and will probably come back here by myself. It wasn't the best experience last time, but mistakes can happen and, judging by the other reviews, they usually don't happen here. So, go there...

Unfortunately, we’ve lost Socials… and I feel so sad about it. Couple years ago when I stayed in Toshkent for some time it was one of my favorite places for nice breakfast and amazing desserts. Now what we have is a new menu that isn’t event close to what it was before, all desserts look basic and are all just floating is some sort of saucy toppings. From the great choice of pancakes only the Nutella pancakes are left, but they are inedible… super dry and hard. Service got worse… I waited more than half an hour for my food and coffee and even after that one of the dishes wasn’t ready as they forgot about it. What makes it all worse - reconstruction of the street with all that comes with it - the noise, the dust etc. Unfortunately, Socials is out of my list...

Rather mediocre place with average boring food, not at all aligned with the prices they charge and the cool vibe they aim to project. The food is very basic, with minimal care in quality of the raw products and presentation of the plate. The menu is varied, but dishes are the "all time classics" with nothing special. Service is normal, no complaints. The decoration of the space is overplayed and looks cheap, again, without care for the details.
