The museum of art in Tashkent impresses with its huge number of landscapes paintings, portraits and exhibits from the far past of our and foreign countries and the way of securing them. Mostly I was satisfied by the scenery paintings made by famous painters like Ayvazovskiy or paintings made by our citizen and the way, that their view is presented in their works. Also, the exhibition hall of old dresses, that represents the clothes, worn by our ancestors and the variation of colors and materials is surprising. In fact, halls with foreign dresses of different ancient countries were impressive in the same level. Last hall, that reminds me the museum is related to ancient famous people's portraits like Nopleon, Elizabeth I and some Russian warriors, drew many centuries ago and kept in good condition...

To be honest, I have never been interested in any kinds of art, that's why I haven't been to the museum before. Last week trip to state museum of arts of Uzbekistan impressed me in a good way. Each exhibit has its own history, meaning and each one is unique. When you are in a museum, you are immersed in a special atmosphere with wonderful sculptures, pictures and other exhibits. Also we have seen the sculptures representing the customs and traditions of other Asian countries. Moreover, there were various kinds of paintings personifying our ancestors lived in our country. Nevertheless, even such kind of sculptures of arts can't make me...

Beautiful building with a variety of paintings, rugs, vases and ancient artifacts from Uzbekistan , Russia and Western countries i.e. Italy. I particularly enjoyed the Uzbek paintings of Samarkand and the Uzbek Spring. It was worth visiting on a hot day as the museum is very cool inside. There were no queues. In order to take pictures you need to pay a small amount which is worth it. Also, during our visited we managed to see art students practicing their painting skills which made the atmosphere peaceful, resilient and inspiring. I highly recommend a visit to this museum.

Travel in time for only 30.000 som. Ever wanted to see what the 1970s were like? With a giant collection of seemingly randomly combined items, damaged interior, and old-fashioned presentation techniques, this museum makes you feel like you enter into a long-gone era. Without any guideline or selection, the exhibition bombards you with more or less interesting items, but never gives any real clue of what it is trying to show or say.

I was pleasantly surprised to see such a impressive and massive collection, and didn't get time to complete the fine arts galleries on the top floors. The first few are devoted to ceramics and tapestries. As an aside, some of the photos on Google of the exterior are actually of the State Museum of History. This one stands out less.
