the banh mi at its purest form is a simple meal with simple components that is simply divine to eat. everyone has had a good banh mi before, with only the few that stand out. greatness can be defined as someone who has mastered the basics that in combination produces exceptional results. Bánh Mì Hôi An is a family run stall that has perfected the banh mi that turns food into an experience. I elected the Fried Egg Banh Mi, ecstasy my tastebuds would have never thought to experience. The bread; warm, soft and crisp, the egg; cooked divinely with love, the chilli and coriander; simple condiments complimenting and establishing the flavours. The stall, the grocery behind the stall, and the family running it are humble, yet provide the experience and class of food that something of a 5 star restaurant. it saddens me being a traveller and having to leave this stall, but Bánh Mì Hôi An is a place that will certainly hold a special place...

Little did I know that the intricately crafted flavours, meticulously spread throughout the fresh, warm and crispy bun would create a euphoric experience so good that I would find myself going back for my 2nd, 3rd and 4th sitting.
