First, I want to talk about some positive things. The restaurant is located inside of a resort. Upon arriving the staff picks you up with a small car and drives you to the restaurant. The restaurant looks very nice, the tables are very clean and you can see the sea depending on where you were sitting. Bathrooms were also very clean and well maintained. Our mocktails were nice also the size is very small, about 200ml.
Unfortunetely, that was all there is to say regarding the positive aspects. The staff does not communicate well and is not well trained in English. We chose to apertisers and two main dishes. Out of our four choices, one apertiser and one main dish were not available, which is very sad considering the restaurant was empty. The food wait time was about 20 minutes which is very good. My chicken was served cold. I asked and it is supposed to be like. It lacked seasoning and taste. My partner ordered noodles with spicy beef. The beef was raw. There was water poored over the noodles and beef and thats it. Also lacked taste. You have to consider that we paid almost 40 dollars in total which is a lot in Vietnam so our expectations were high but not met at all.
I just cannot recommend this restaurant and would advise you to...
Read moreI wanted to take my husband out for a nice seafood dinner for his birthday and found this restaurant on Trip Advisor. I had to change the reservations a couple times, but they were very responsive on the Google chat function.
We were a little worried when we got to the restaurant initially. It's located in a resort, so you had to take a shuttle to the restaurant from the parking lot. We walked in and no one else was in the restaurant (Thursday night). Luckily we stuck with it and the food was finely prepared and delicious. We had the rice noodle with seafood (fresh with chopped seafood), sweet and sour green mango and crispy flying fish (great flavors and textures), stir-fried crab meat with vermicelli noodles (not a lot of crab, but had a tasty smoky flavor) and Nha Trang sturgeon marinated with galangal & tumeric (great sauce, topped with dill, and came with rice paper to wrap with some lettuce and vermicelli noodles). Although it was more expensive than most restaurants in Da Nang, it's worth the ambience (and AC!) and well prepared meal. Unfortunately the sun had already set so we couldn't see the beach. They even brought out a cake with candle for the birthday...
Read moreUpon entering, the beautiful surroundings immediately set a promising tone, and the food was absolutely delicious, truly a highlight. However, the atmosphere suffered from a lack of an outdoor space to escape the indoor noise of guests walking through to the beach side or the moving of tables setting up groups for dining.
While the staff were undeniably friendly, the service often felt disconnected. Despite their presence, we consistently had to flag someone down, as no one seemed dedicated to our table. This led to a significant wait for our food, and even some drinks being missed from our order, even during what started as a quiet period before becoming steady. Our Vietnamese friend's quick eye was essential, catching an error on the bill.
Despite these service hiccups, the lovely shuttle service back to the main gate offered a pleasant end to our visit.
This place has immense potential, especially if the service can match the warmth of its friendly staff and the quality of its...
